Display Settings

In this section you can customize the visual elements of your plans, as well as rename/set up your tabs and sections. Click on the Go To menu and select "Display Settings"


When you first access this page, you'll see your current tab/section layout. These are the tabs you'll see when editing your lessons. You can click the "Sample Layouts" button to select a default layout. 


These can be renamed and ordered in any way. To reorder your sections, just click and drag the section you wish to reorder to a new location.

To add a new section/tab, enter a name in one of the unused slots and check the box to the left of the section name. 

Please note, that the designated fields for “My List”, “Standards”, and “School List” cannot be utilized for another section. While these sections can be renamed, you will only be able to apply items from your “My List”, “Standards”, or “School List” sections. You can see which sections are reserved for those items by referring to the column to the right of the section/tab names. 

Please note that the “School List” section is reserved for items your school has created and items cannot be added by anyone other than an administrator.

Global Settings: Adjust the look of the dates displaying at the top of your plans. 

Lesson Styling: Adjust the look of your lesson titles, attachments, assignments, and assessments by clicking the pencil icon to the right of item. 

Lesson Retrieval: Adjust how many weeks of your plans are pre-loaded for navigation or how often Planbook auto-saves your work when editing an item. 

Lesson Orientation: Change your plans orientation to a vertical or horizontal view by clicking the corresponding option. Use the “Equal Size Lessons” option to make your lesson boxes a uniform size. Uncheck the "Adjust lesson size" box to enter a number and set a specific size for your lesson boxes, in pixels. 

Print Layout Header: Customize the icon at the top of the screen on the printed/downloaded version of your plans, as well as adjust the placement of specific information on that document (School Year, Teacher Name, Date Range). 

Lesson Headings: Adjust how your times/class names display in your plans. You can adjust this to display class names or times first, or where those are aligned in your class title bar. 

Lesson Status: Choose to display your full lesson status names, or adjust the font size those display in. For more information, please refer to the "Lesson Status" article under "Features"

Lesson Tooltips: Turn on or off tooltips for displaying standards when hovering over a Standard with your mouse cursor. 

Event Styling: Choose how events from your “Events” section are displayed. Adjust font, size, and color here.

Date Styling: Adjust how the dates towards the top of your plans are displayed with the “Date Format” and "Date Delimiter" sections. Adjust the “Display Days” option to choose which days of the week appear in your plans. Check the “Show School Day Counter” box to display the school day number towards the top of your plans. This number is determined by the “First Day” date on your “School Year” page.

Custom Fonts: Upload custom fonts to apply those to your lessons. Click the + icon to upload a font from your computer and use the "Choose File" button to select that file.
