How to assign a Student

Students can be assigned in two ways. A school administrator can assign students to teachers, and a teacher can assign students to classes.

Assign Student to Teacher


To assign a student to a teacher, an administrator will:
  1. From the Planbook Bar, select Students > Assign.


  2. From the Teacher Bar, select a Teacher to assign or remove students.


  3. To assign students, select them from the Students not Assigned to Teacher list, and click the Assign button.


  4. To remove students, select them from the Students Assigned to Teacher list, and click the Remove button.


  5. You can also drag and drop students between the two lists.

Assign Student to Class

To assign a student to a class, a teacher will:
  1. From the Planbook Bar, select Students > Assign.


  2. Use the Class drop-down in top-left menu to select a Class to assign or remove students.


  3. To assign students, select them from the Students not in Class list, and click the Assign button.


  4. To remove students, select them from the Students in Class list, and click the Remove button.


  5. You can also drag and drop students between the two lists.
