  1. Count class days per month

    I want to be able to see exactly how many times I see a class in a given mouth for long range planing.

    We recommend the Month View, combined with the View filter (to select a single subject) as an easy way to view all class days per month.  We hope this helps, any questions please let us know at support@planbook.com

  2. Allow the same email address to be used for multiple students.

    I have siblings in my classroom. Obviously, they will have the same parent email and phone number.

    Good news! It is absolutely fine to use the same parent email and phone number for multiple students in your class or school. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know!

  4. 5E Lesson Plan format

    I love your software and it has made my life so much better! THANK YOU
    I have a suggestion:
    Allow to add tabs to my lesson plans where I can show the 5E format
    or design a 5E format for everyone to use as an option

    We offer support for the 5E Instructional Model in two ways!

    First, you can customize your lesson sections (Go To > Display Settings) to create a unique tab for each step in the model. Second, if you enable your Instructional Strategies tab, you can then include the 5E Model as a teacher strategy for your lessons.

  5. Add "view only" user type

    I have staff members (support staff, teaching assistants) that need to be able to see multiple classes easily but I don't want them to have to any admin privileges in terms of settings and such. At the moment I have just enabled it but I am worried about it long-term.

  7. Allow administrators to be able to see units created by teachers

    Some of our teachers are just using planbook.com to plan at a unit level and I currently can't access their unit plans.

    When viewing a teacher’s plans, you may click on any Unit ID in order to see more details about the unit, including the date range it is applied to and the text within the unit sections. Please let us know if you have any questions, thanks!

    I love the new schedule button where I can look at my entire schedule and drag and drop!!! This just saved me a plethora of time. Now I can print this too and not have to make another one in google!!.

  9. Expand single lesson

    When in the Lesson Bank, it would be great to be able to expand a single lesson when you select the "+" sign in stead of clicking it and all lessons in the bank expand. This way we can expand only those we want to open. When navigating to the lessons at the bottom of the bank, to make adjustments to, after you select the "+" it automatically takes you to the top lesson in the bank.

  10. Lesson Banks

    While teaching a unit that I copy and past from my Lesson Bank into my Daily Plans, I often make changes to those lessons as I'm teaching them or add additional resources items.

    Why can't we have on option to update our Lesson Bank immediately with the changes we make to the Daily Lessons from that Lesson Bank

    Too often I loose my changes because I made them in the Daily Lessons as I teach each day because I have to remember to also go back to the Lesson Bank and update those lessons also with my changes.

  12. Delete all plans for year/month/week

    I think it would be nice to have a delete button for the year, month and week. Sometimes I have to start over or maybe I made a mistake and this would make fixing it a whole lot easier.

    To delete a group of lessons for a specific class or your entire year, just click Go To → Classes or School Year. Here, use the three-dot icon in the upper-right to select “Manage Lessons”. This will allow you to select up to one year of lessons quickly to delete those quickly.

  13. Please add more tabs to UNIT plans to include Universal Design.

    UBD includes the following:
    Transfer skill
    Enduring understandings
    Standards
    Essential Questions
    Knowledge
    Skills
    YOu can find out more about it anywhere. . . .but I know my district would be more likely to want to pay for planbook for its teachers if it could connect our UBD units with lesson plans.

  15. School Day counter by quarter or semester

    I teach quarter, semester, and yearlong classes and would like to be able to see which day it is during each class.

  16. Extended lessons

    Would it be possible to add some sort of visual aid (icon) to a lesson that has been extended (and the extended lesson) so that we can differentiate between them and a normal lesson

    Good news, we have added Lesson Linking to Planbook! Rather than copying lessons from a lesson bank or between classes, you can now create a LINK to the source lesson. This means that any changes you make will automatically show in ALL places where the lesson in linked!

    When you extend a lesson, this will now automatically create a LINK to the initial source lesson. You will see that this is a link when you hover over the lesson, as an “LL” will appear.

  17. Why is limit for 10 votes? Several ideas are great....it takes time to revisit. others tell me thought b/c too long for them to access, etc

    The 10 vote limit helps to encourage teachers to choose the items most valuable to them and helps us prioritize adding those features. You may remove votes from any item you’ve previously voted on to get those votes back.

  18. Grades - Show title on hover

    I have a tendency to give my assignments specific long names. As a result I often have to click on the assignment to read which one it is in relation to a unit that may all start with a similar title. The ability to see the title when I hover over the entry would be helpful.

  19. Allow lesson copy from units within banks

    I like to plan in the bank by unit so I can then save those units for later. When I go to copy, I can select to look at each bank, but not the units within those banks. Being able to select a bank and a unit would make everything much easier.

  20. Sharing plans without downloading them

    I would like to be able to look at peoples plans without downloading them into my plans. It would be nicer to have access to peoples stuff and pick and choose what I like to download for myself using the basic copy and paste that is in the drop down menu in every lesson. To be able to just click into their Planbook year like I do with my previous years.
