Add multiples times to a class on one day
Sometimes due to scheduling, I have to split a class (e.g. math) into two sessions on one day. Unless I am incorrect, I have to create two mathematics classes so I can do this. For example, if I have math from 9:00 - 9:30, then have to stop from 9:30 - 10:00 for PE, and then return to math from 10:00 - 10:30, I have to create two different classes. Under normal circumstances, this is okay - - - except when I need to bump or extend a lesson, in which case I end up getting everything out of order. I would love to be able to establish more than one time slot per day when setting up the class. Then if that lesson is bumped or extended, it is done for both sessions at once.
You can now add extra class lessons to your schedule! This will allow you to teach a particular class more than once in a single day, or to teach a class on a day when it’s not normally scheduled. To add an extra class lesson to a day, click More → Add Extra Lesson.

Which more? Which part? Is there a way to do this where I can do it when setting up the planbook instead of each week?

This would be great! I have one grade/class two times a day. My schedule is set for 1 class of Science (period 3) and 1 class of Social (period 6), everyday. To reduce the amount of time of switching between classes, I have chosen to have one day of Science and the next of Social. Being able to add an extra time (not by adding an extra class) would be awesome. This way I can delete the class we do not have that day and keep the one we do. It is so much faster to delete than add and extra lesson (although it is nice being able to add an extra lesson sometimes).
Thanks!
P.S. I truly appreciate Planbook giving users a voice and taking our suggestions. Not every company is willing to do this. Your support is AWESOME! -

I would love to see this added as well. I teach three of the same math lesson a day, and would love to be able to plan the first one and it be set to automatically copy to the other two lessons, without copy-paste-paste for every day. -

You have not addressed this issue yet, you have merely offered a quick fix that does not allow efficient class entry for multiple lessons per day.
I may have to discontinue using planbook as I am unwilling to enter the extra lesson for a double less on for 5 different classes every week!
I am also unconvinced that the bump command works for the extra lesson! -

Deal with this and please respond, admin! It needs to be possible in the scheduler to schedule the same section twice in one day on a regular, ongoing basis without needing to make individual adjustments to those days!

We really need this to be done in set up so that its done once not added every week - that takes too much time.

Hi, I also have multiple classes of the same subject on the same day. Would love an option to add extra times, instead of making another subject

Has this bee rectified properly yet? Don't want to have to need to add a class on a weekly basis...too time consuming.

I agree with the comments below. Adding an extra lesson each week is time consuming and not practical when bumping becomes necessary. In my case it is one class cut into halves due to a music class being in between.

Hi,
This issue has not really been 'completed' as you state. Please address the concerns noted below.

I also need the option to have the same class group twice in one day. I have my sixth year English group twice every Tuesday, once in the morning and agin in the afternoon. Adding an extra lesson each week is time-consuming.

Can I vary the number of periods on difference days?

This is very needed. I know we can do it as an extra class, but that is crazy to do that for several classes every week. There should be an option in the Class builder to have it several times a day.. It will be diffident times, but on the same day. I have tried adding extra classes and its just not worth it.
Please add the option to have the same class multiple times a day.

"Click More" from what menu? I can't find where you mean.

Has this yet been rectified that teachers can have the same subject over two set times in a day & not have to add an extra lesson, every single week?

I need to have two lessons of a specific class on 2 days of the week. Is there a way to do it for the year not weekly?

I need this updated as well. I meet with students for 2 or 3 periods a day, but those times are different everyday of my 6 day cycle. So I had to create a class for each period - so I cannot bump since they are not all in line with one another. Can you create classes that are one class subject, say ELA, but they can meet two periods on Monday, 3 periods on Tuesday, 2 periods Wed., etc, and that they are all in the same SUBJECT - so when I bump they bump to the next period or day.

Is there a way to do this while setting up a class? I need to split a specific class into two blocks each Wednesday. Will I need to create an extra lesson each week?
