Keyboard shortcut to save/close lesson
When creating or editing numerous lesson plans in the desktop or laptop web browser, constantly switching from the keyboard to the mouse is inefficient and frustrating. The more that can be done directly from the keyboard, the better. At a minimum, it would be helpful to be able to save/close the lesson edit dialog without the mouse. A full set of keyboard hotkeys or shortcuts for lesson manipulation would be best.

Assignments types without weights
At this point, I cannot enter the type of assignment (classwork, homework, etc.) without assigning it a weighted percentage. I do not weight my assignments, but rather calculate final grades based on overall points earned/points possible. There should be the ability to assign the type of assignment without forcing you to weight them differently!

Allow multiple units for a lesson
I love being able to select a unit, however I teach from multiple books, so I would like to be able to specify which vocabulary unit we're on, for example, AND which literature unit we're on, AND which grammar unit we're on. :)

Different Layout for Specialty Teachers
Specialty Teachers teach one to five sections of each grade level, so is there a way we could make the columns be the grade level instead of the days of the week? We need a way for specials teachers to use this easier... For example, I teach 303, 302, 306, and 304 all from 9:30-10:20 on four of the five days of the week. Right now I have to copy and paste or "extend" the class to copy them over... but I would LOVE to be able to just use the columns for each grade level but still with this…

Switch plans between days
I re-use plans from the previous year but sometimes need to switch the order of lessons to fit the new schedule. It would be great to simply be able to switch plans rather than have to bump, copy, move, and delete current plans in order to switch them.

Attach RECENT Google Documents
I like how we can attach Google Documents....but...what would be even better... Getting to the document you want can be a pain...especially if it's a document you've been recently working on. At the top of the upload screen...you should have another tab that linkes to "recent documents." Many times I'm working on documents while I'm doing lesson planning...this would save a lot of time attaching my document. To see an example, check out Google Classroom. When I go to post and assignment or annoucement...there are tabs at the top including "Drive" and "Most Recent Documents."

Create a full version offline app
The ipad version is great, but I'd love a full version app that could be used offline and would sync once back online. This would be especially helpful for schools with spotty service or rural areas that do not have access to unlimited internet.

Merge Lessons
Merge Lesson's. If I do lesson 1 and have extra time and decide to do lesson 2 as well on the same day I want to be able to move subsequent lessons back without losing any lesson information. Putting lesson 3 on the day where lesson 2 was.

Integrate with Schoology
A lot of teachers seem to be using LMS's (Learning Management Systems) more and more. From my research (and now personal use) Schoology is becoming very popular, but one thing you can't do with Schoology is good lesson planning within the LMS. I know lots of teachers would like a one-stop type place to take care of business (which is why you get requests for things like adding a gradebook to your program), and Schoology integrates third party apps for use right within their system, such as Google Drive, Evernote, Remind, Khan Academy, YouTube, just to name a few. Having…

Drag and drop classes (schedule) in plan view
I would like to be able to drag and drop in plan view to change my schedule for specific classes if need be. Right now if I want to switch the 10:00 class and the 2:00 class I have to go into each class and adjust the time with the custom time check box. I would like to drag my 10:00 class down to 2:00 and 2:00 to 10:00.
I would also like to be able to move from day to day. Right now the move function allows you to move a lesson to a different day but not a…64 votes -
Make units automatically update
I wish when I entered my units and put the dates in that they would automatically be put into my lesson plans. It seems repetitive to have to put the dates in when I putting my units in and then also have to go to each individual day and add the lesson to the unit.
OR
I know how many days each unit takes. I wish I could enter a start date and then enter how many days the unit will take and it would automatically put it in my plans.

Integrate with Microsoft Outlook Calendar
Since my school uses Microsoft Oulook, my admin send meeting invites and observation appointments through the Outlook calendar. I would like to be able to sync that calendar wtih Planbook.com so I can see my whole schedule for the day in one place instead of having to put each appointment in there manually.

Print My List descriptions independently
While the standards description might not be necessary on the lesson plans, the description for "My List" items might be. It depends how you use that section I suppose. In my case, I'd like to be able to have the descriptions for "My List" items, but not the standards. Also, it would be nice if one could select default options when printing.

Create new unit from lesson editor
It would be nice if when you were making a leson, in the drop down menu to assign a unit, there was an option to "create a new unit." This would make it easy to group sets of lessons that only last for one week.

Attach files to Views (Students, Substitutes, etc)
I would love to be able to upload files to the notes pages. Sometimes there is a particular document that I want students to practice daily but I do not want to write it in my plans daily. Also, if this option was available on the sub notes page I could upload all important documents such as, class lists, fire drill forms, extra handouts etc.

Print without templates
Add a check box under the print options "Templates" just like you have under viewing so that I can print my lessons with or without the templates. I use the templates mostly for details to give a sub. I don't need them printed for myself when I make a hard copy as they are the same every time.
