Allow templates to be applied to existing lessons.

It is SO frustrating that I have to delete a lesson I carried over just to get a template to apply! It totally defeats the purpose of carrying a lesson over from the year before. This didn't use to be the case. Whatever was changed, needs to change back!

When beginning a new year and copying the lessons from the previous year, I would like to overwrite the previous year's template with this year's template. For example, when a routine changes (created through last year's template) for a specific class and needs to be modified for this school year's routine (new template) for that class, I would like the new template to replace last year's template.

I created a template that I want to apply to my language arts class. Even though the lesson field is completely blank, when I click the apply template tab nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

I agree with all of the existing comments. Has there been a solution?

I created a template and would like to apply it to my lessons. I can't find the template and it does not show up on my lessons. Help!

Slightly different to this, would be the ability to take an existing lesson and turn that into at least a skeleton outline for a new template. Maybe a "copy to template" or "convert to new template" type of feature.

Add templates to existing lessons.
The format we have to submit plans changes from year to year and not being able to add a template to an existing plan means rewriting lessons every year which takes away from the benefit of using planbook and having those lessons already in place from year to year.
