add space below the date window to enter schedule rotation title
I have reviewed other online lesson books and planbook.com is so far the best, but it falls short for high schools with multiple schedules. For instance, my high school uses a 3-day rotation and the number of classes meeting depends on the day. For example, we have Block A (periods 1-4, 7), Block B (periods 1-2, 5-6, 7), Block C (periods 3-6, 7). Period 7 never meets on Tuesday and on special schedules. Let's say our first day of school begins on a Monday. Thus, Monday is Block A, Tuesday is Block B, Wednesday is Block C, Thursday is Block…
1 voteTo create a 3 day cycle schedule, click Go To → School Year. You can also name each cycle day as needed and this will show in your week view below the date. Please feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

Empty slots
This will allow teachers to view any classes throughout the year that we did not put lesson plans in. It will show all the "holes" that need to be filled with the lessons we did not type up in the class. There are some days we just do not get to planbook to put lessons in that we did that week or that day and we have to search and figure out what week that was.
Right now I am having to scroll and find weeks where I have holes in my weekly lesson plans. Having this idea would be…1 voteYou can view the empty slots via the List View for a class. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know!

ask before deleting text, especially when changing the schedule
To explain: I have a class on Tues-Friday. I bumped last Friday's lesson to the next day, which was Tuesday. However, due to schedule change, I can squeeze in SS on Monday. I added that day to my plans and went to move Tuesday's lesson to Monday but it was GONE. It was a full activity and I am bummed it is gone. This has happened before but this time I know I didn't delete it by accident and did not miss the popup that the change would change the text I already had.

When you choose "items" to view have it save it.
Each time I log in to plan book I have to go and hide the huge list of standards for my lesson plans. It would be nice to have it save what you select (or in my case unselect) so that you don't have to go in each time and hide what you don't want to see.
1 voteHi Molly,
These “items” preferences are saved when you physically sign out of your account, under your display name at the top right of your page. Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any other questions by sending a message to support@planbook.com.
Thank you!

Format blocks to fit school lesson plan
I would like to be able to format the lesson plan blocks to reflect the school-wide format we use at our school. For example: "Starter Activity, student activities. . . exit activity. Would this be possible? Or any suggestions would be helpful.

Give the option NOT to bump lessons if there is a snow day
I am a technology integrator. Every day of every week is different for me. I don't have a set schedule. When I entered a snow day recently it bumped all my classes for both snow days. However, my lessons don't bump at all. I have to reschedule on my own due to the availability of the class coming in. If my class was coming in on Monday for a Science project, they very well might not be available on Tuesday at that same time and even if they were, I already have another class scheduled then. I am requesting just…

allow the Setting of term start and end dates or enable the removal of multiple no class days
It would be most convenient to be able to set start and end term dates. Currently I have to remove each individual day of the two week semester break. Not a BIG task I admit, but if I could simply block whole periods of days it would save a lot of time.
1 voteYou can add a NO SCHOOL event to block out your no class days. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know!

allow individual class times to be created that are not part of a rotation
Sometimes at the elementary level we have a day that is not part of the rotation, where specialists meet with an entire grade level in one day. Right now my only option is to label it a "No School Day" in order to bump all the other classes in the rotation to the next day. However, I am teaching classes that day and would like to be able to enter in the lesson plan and goals even though they are not part of a regular rotation.

Add a "fixed date" feature
Sometimes I have lessons/activities that must occur on a certain day, but when I bump or extend lessons they get altered as well, which means I have to go back and adjust everything. If I could "fix date" on some of them so the other lessons could bump around them, that would be fantastic.

Add an extend feature for each week day
I would like to be able to write in spelling test on Friday and then extend it to every Friday or Reading Quiz on Thursday and then extend it to every Thursday.
1 voteHi Linda,
If you click Go To → Templates, you can create a template for each class, to have a Spelling test each Friday, a Reading Quiz each Thursday, etc. Take a look, and contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

have a plan for an early dissmissal
We have an early dissmissal next week and it would be nice if there was a way to do 1/2 day no school. Right now I added an event, but all of my classes are still listed.
1 voteFor a 1/2 day, you can remove a class from the day by opening the lesson and clicking “No Class”. You can also adjust the times for each class by opening the lesson and clicking “Custom times”. Please do not hesitate to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

update content managment system
I love this website, but I have noticed that when I go in and edit homework, notes, or even lesson...when I do not backspace the "entire way" the box will still appear. I think this may be a coding issue. Is there anyway you can fix it so that when we delete info from a box it automatically disappears??

Allow us to delete an entire day (conference days/snow days etc)
Instead of deleting each class it would be easier to just delete the entire day when we have conference days, vacation, or snow days.
1 voteTo remove a day, click More → Add an Event, and check the No School box.

this program is too slow! I want to be able to click and go and all this loading time is wasting my time!
1 voteHi Melanie,
Sorry for the difficulties. It may be that there is a poor internet connection or that something is out of sync in your browser memory. To clear this up, we recommend the following three steps.
1. Reboot your computer, this will flush out your browser DNS settings.
2. After you open your browser, press Ctrl-Shift-Del to clear your browser history.
3. Go to planbook.com, and before you sign in press Ctrl-F5 (Command + shift + R for Mac users) to refresh your browser memory cache. After you sign in, press Ctrl-F5 one more time. Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any questions by emailing us at support@planbook.com.
