Don't include planning/specials in grades
I want to use the grade book system but I don't want all of my classes to show up when I click classes because I create some classes to show my day rather than it be an actual class that students attend. For example, (my planning, speech that my students attend, gym, or specials) I use as a class so that I know what happens next that day but I don't want it to show up in my grade book as a class to choose from. It just gets confusing in the grade book menu. Other than that, I LOVE…
4 votesGood news! If you select the “No Students” check box for a class, this will now automatically hide the class in your grade book and student attendance. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know. Thanks!

Mobile Apps - Allow split screen
Doing this would make it possible for iPad Pro users to use half the screen for the Planbook app and half the screen for their notes, a website, or anything!
6 votesGood news! Planbook Mobile allows you to view multiple apps on your iPad via “Slide Over”. While using Planbook, swipe up from the bottom edge and pause to reveal the Dock, then touch and hold an app in the Dock, and drag it above the Dock to use with Planbook. Hope this helps, any questions please let us know!

Printing - Subject start on new page
When printing plans, it would be nice if the subjects didn't start with 3 lines on the bottom of one page and then continue onto the next. I would like the option to have a subjects that do not fit on one page to start on the next page.
2 votesTo avoid breaking a lesson between two pages, select the “Avoid page break within lesson” check box on the Print Options page. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know!

Attach files to units
I would like to attach pdf files to units. Our district has pacing guides for each unit in math and E/LA. This will be a quick way for teachers to reference the pacing guides quickly.

Allow student view to default to Day view
Allow the current day to be the default that students see when they log on. Students do not like the "jumbled" look of the whole week.

Allow one off replica lessons
I teach high school and have the same class taught during 2 different hours. Sometimes the lessons need to be altered slightly from one hour to the next but I can't edit if I have selected it is a replica class.
56 votesGood news! You can now create LINKS between individual lessons. This allows you share a set of lessons between class sections, and if you’d like to customize a specific lesson for a section, simple unlink it. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know!

Split screen view of two year's lessons with copy feature
It would be great if we could split the screen and see last year's plans and this year's plans side by side (ie. first week of school of each year). Then, to be able to copy lessons from one year to the next.
38 votesWe’ve added a new “Copy” button to allow you to copy lessons (includes drag/drop) from another teacher, another year, or even one class to another. Hope this helps, any questions just let us know at support@planbook.com. Thanks!

Change look of "Student View" link
Change the look of the "Student View" link, to make it more obvious & present for kids & families. Make it look like the "Login" button, placing it right below the Login button. Maybe add the word "Teacher" in front of "Login"?
2 votesStudents can now use the same login button / screen as teachers and administrators. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know!

Accessing current plans alongside previous year lesson plans
It would be great to see current year lesson plans along side previous year lesson plans, so that when I want to copy and paste a lesson plan from last year to this year I can access it more easily.

District level administrators (multiple schools)
It would be helpful to have district administrators who can view, add, and delete teachers from multiple schools within a district. This would be helpful for the beginning set up and end of the school year cleanup to maintain the number allowed in the district subscription.
21 votesAdministrators can now manage multiple school subscriptions under a single district login. You can sort by building, and add or remove accounts from individual school accounts. District administrators can also create lesson layouts, templates, and school years to be used by all teachers in the district. Please contact our support team at support@planbook.com or 888-205-5528 if you’d like to set up a district account.

Copy & Paste Lessons From one year to the next
I would like to go back to last year's plans and copy and paste the exact lesson(materials, standards, objectives etc.) to this years plans. I don't want to copy the whole year at one time though. Just a specific day.

Add a class description
I would like to be able to post a description of the class when setting it up. When printing lesson plans for a sub, I would include the description for the sub.
Example: Math class: students are expected to start class by getting their binders and pull out their homework. The math teacher manual is located at the front of the room in a basket on the podium. It would be nice to be able to include this on any or all math lessons without having to retype it each time.
6 votesWe’ve added a new sharing option “View – Substitutes” to allow you to more easily share information when you will be out of class. As part of this view, you can include “View Notes” to tell your substitute about common procedures for the day and for specific subjects.

Auto Log Out
It would be helpful to have planbook log you out automatically after so long because I have typed a long description of lessons plans before and it was all lost and made me log back in. :) Love planbook.com though! It is an AMAZING tool!

Last year's lesson.
Can you see what you did in the same class a year or two years ago, easily? I know you can switch the years, find the week you are looking for, etc. but a link to previous years would be very helpful!

Entering events in calendar mode
It would be helpful if events could be entered on a full month calendar view (rather than a list view). It is cumbersome to scroll through the event list view if there are many events entered. If a monthly calendar view could be made available to quickly see at a glance where events are placed, that would be super helpful.

Make a class private
Ability to make a class "private" and not able to be viewed.
17 votesWhen creating a sharing View for your plans, you can now control what classes are included in the view. The classes are unique for each View you define, so you are able to customize each as appropriate.
