Allow students to join a teacher's class/period with a code
Students join google classroom, quia, nearpod, and so many other sites using a generated code. If students could add themselves, it would be much less work than it is for admin to assign students to teachers and teachers to then assign students to their individual classes.
Good news! You can now provide your students with a join code or URL to automatically join one or all of your classes for a school year. This means that administrators no longer need to assign students to teachers, and teachers no longer need to assign students to classes.
To generate a join code, click Go To > Students > Generate Join Codes

Please bring back the join code. It cuts down on double working.

Is this still an option in the updated version? I can only get the viewing links but would LOVE the individual join codes.

It seems that when students who have an account from last year, cannot use the codes. Please advise.

This helps students to access hyperlinks, too, used in lesson plans.

I vote for the generated code. This code can be posted on Portal as a reminder.

I love this idea! It would be just like Google Classroom. Also, it would eliminate the double-work that goes in when you teach an elective classes, and have to go into the system after drop/add to redo the student list for each class in Planbook.
