We recommend the Month View, combined with the View filter (to select a single subject) as an easy way to view all class days per month.  We hope this helps, any questions please let us know at support@planbook.com

  3. Make easier to edit/copy tables

Editing tables is very cumbersome. It's too hard to change the size and edit/move text within a table.

Make it possible to copy a table from one lesson to the next without having to copy the whole lesson

Our latest version of Planbook offers a new and improved Table Editor!  When you can, try it out and let us know what you think!

  4. Allow a Google Classroom class to be matched up with its Planbook counterpart

I like that I can now see assignments from Classroom in Planbook. It shows up at the top of the page for the due date. It would be great if the class on Classroom could be connected to its Planbook class so that the assignment showed up within the class it was assigned for.

You can now connect each Planbook class to a specific Google Classroom. This allows you to view and update Google coursework directly from each class, quickly transfer assignments and assessments to Google Classroom, add or update scores for Google students, and use Google scores in Planbook student performance reports. Select Go To > Classes to edit a class and connect it to Google Classroom.

  5. Add dropdown to top of day

Add a dropdown at the top of the date. Options include copy (entire day), delete (entire day), Lock (entire day) etc.

A new "Day Action" dropdown has been added in v12!  From this new icon, you can select from a variety of options specific to the day, such as adding an event, adding a sticker, printing the day, or bumping the day.

  6. Quick add lesson to bank

Have a bank button in the lesson box. That way if I do not want to do the lesson that week, I can quickly bank it instead of having copy.

  7. Reordering lessons in the lesson bank

I would like to be able to alphabetize the lessons in my lesson bank. Or a button that would allow me to rearrange the order in the lesson bank.

Hello, You now have the option to click and drag lessons into a new order using the arrow near the top left of a lesson. Please test this out, and let us know if you have any questions.

  8. don't skip two weeks ahead when I click the arrow button to the succeeding week.

Whenever my account gets logged out and I try to click towards the following week, it prompts me to log in. However, after getting logged in, I am brought to the original page where I started. If I clicked the arrow to move forward to the following week, it skips two weeks ahead counting the initial click as a command.

  9. Create a Specific Sub Template

It would be great to have a specific Sub Template that includes the schedule, plans, plus the sub notes, all in one. Additionally, the template could have large gaps between the classes to provide room for substitutes to leave notes on how each class period went.

On the Sharing Options page, you can now create a unique “Substitute View”. In this view, you can define exactly what information your substitutes will see, and you can also include “View Notes” to store any common information that will assist the substitute in managing your classroom. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know. Thanks!

  10. Post directly to Google Classroom after attaching to Planbook.

The ability to post the attached assignments I have in Planbook directly to Google Classroom with a share button.

  11. Color Picker - Allow hex codes

When trying to colour code my planbook, I'd like to be able to be specific with my colour choices by typing in a hex code instead of choosing from the colour picker. This also allows me to use the exact same colour choice when matching text to class colours.

The new color picker in Planbook allows you to select a color from one of our sixty preset color options, via a full color grid, or by entering a color code (Hex, RGB or HSL)!

  12. Sharing of Specific Week Only

Allow sharing of a specific week OnLy -- currently sharing settings allow for a link to be created which gives access to the current week as well as previous week and/or the entire school year. I would like a sharing link that allows for OnLy the current week to be viewed.

You can now choose your own colors for each To Do priority level (High, Medium, Low)!

To adjust your To Do priority level colors, click "User Settings" > "Display Settings" > "Notes & To Do".

  14. I would like to share with my students only the current DAY and the previous week.

I have lots of links in my plans to tests etc. so I only want students to see the current DAY not the entire week. More flexibility would be appreciated for the sharing of lesson plans with students.

  15. Bump/Extend Relica lessons

I have new teachers on my team that REPLICA their classes from me. However, they are in charge of planning lessons for those subjects. I think they should have the option under their Lesson Actions to bump or extend lessons as well.

You can now link units and lessons with a colleague or team, and lesson dates are not required to match! This means teachers can now collaborate on the same set of lessons even if they have different schedules. This can also be used for a teacher who has multiple sections of the same subject, as each section can now be on its own schedule. Teachers can now mark when their plans are "Ready" for the week! This adds a green "vertical bar" next to the teacher icon, to allow administrators to quickly see which teachers have completed their plans. Administrators can also mark when a teacher's plans have been "Reviewed/Approved" for the week.

In addition, Administrators can go to a new "Reporting - Plans" page, to track teacher plan submissions by week or year!

  17. Unit Materials,Standards and Instructional Strategies

It would be great if we could set up unit materials, lesson instruction and objectives from the beginning of setting up the unit. If it can be like the current standards with a box to generate the same info for all the lessons under that unit. As an ELL teacher much of my information is shared for multiple classes and materials don't change. It's too tedious to copy/paste for each lesson. I need to have it just in case a sub is used for my class.

  18. Option to automatically update lessons in the bank

  20. Please bring back LIST VIEW to come back for 'all lessons'

Recently, the LIST VIEW for 'all lessons' has disappeared. All of the lessons now just say 'untitled lesson' or 'empty lesson'. You have to go through each lesson and click on the little triangle at the left side of each to edit and then open and view that lesson. It takes far too long to do something that used to be automatic. When I only see classes every 3 school days, seeing a 'weekly view' isn't helpful. I need to see the running list of the entire school year for that class. (Music, Art, PE, etc, often see students only…
