  1. Improve updating

Improve your updating. I sometimes find a lesson I extended one-two days in another month later when planning. This makes it confusing to and time consuming. Please fix this glitch

  3. Allow options in sharing classes

I teach at a university and I use planbook to plan all the courses that I teach. I would like to be able to share the calendar that only pertains to a specific course in question to the students who are registered for that specific course. Currently, if I want to share my calendar with students, I have to share the calendars for all of my courses. This is problematic because I teach more than one section of the same kind of course. So students say the calendar confuses them.

If you click Go To → Sharing → Download Links, this will give you a sharing link for each of the classes you teach. You can then give students just the link they need for each specific class. Please do not hesitate to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

  4. Time does not change from AM to PM

I've changed an error from PM to AM but it is not showing up on the planbook weekly view. Please fix this so my classes will be accurate. Thank you.

Also, I don't like how if you enter event days incorrectly that it erases what you had filled in. It should just be referenced and displayed first and if the event is deleted, continue to display the originally entered text.

    Cheers,

    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

I remotely accessed your account and I could not find the specific class which looked out of order. If you could let me know the date and class, I will take a closer look.

When you create an event which is set as a no school day, it will push forward all lessons within the date range. Removing the event will then shift lessons back to the original dates.

You can get in touch with me by emailing support@planbook.com.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  5. other view options

I would like to be able to input and see an entire semester at once of each course separately. This is how I do my planning and being able to see the overall picture is very important.

  7. FIX BUMPING ISSUES

It would be nice, if when you bumped a lesson you had options of which other lessons are effected. If there was an option to "add" to "x date" or move lessons would be great.

    Hi Melanie,

We have a built in copy/paste function which allows you to move lessons without affecting every other lesson. You can copy a lesson by right clicking, or using the small white arrow next to the class name. You would then use the same method to paste onto a new date. Please let us know if you have any questions by emailing us at support@planbook.com.

    Thank you!

  8. Moving the letter of the day

If we have a snow or weather day, we can bump the lesson. I work in a school with an A/B rotation. If Monday begins on an A Day and there is a snow day on what would be a B Day (Tuesday) then Wednesday becomes an B Day. I would love to see a way to re-adjust the letters on the calendar. I am new to plan book.com. So far, I LOVE it!

Hi Benita, If you click More → Add Event, and then mark the event as a No School Day, this will cause your lessons to shift AND will move your cycle day to the next day. Take a look, and feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

  9. Separate calendar for the year

Hi I was wondering if its possible to add a class to a new calendar. For example I will be teaching an after school problem and i do not want for my plans to be on my school day calendar. So i guess my question is is it possible to have two calendars on one account so that i don't have to keep clicking the boxes to make the class disappear.

  10. Seriously consider a popup warning before a delete occurs

For example, sometimes people dont necessarily realize they are about to delete a whole class worth of lesson plans when they think they are just deleting an attachment.

"You are about to delete your plans for this period. Continue?" Yes/No

    Hello,

Since a left-click is reserved for opening a lesson box, try using CTRL+Click on the link. This should open a window and launch the link. Please contact us at support@planbook.com for any follow-ups.

  14. add space below the date window to enter schedule rotation title

I have reviewed other online lesson books and planbook.com is so far the best, but it falls short for high schools with multiple schedules. For instance, my high school uses a 3-day rotation and the number of classes meeting depends on the day. For example, we have Block A (periods 1-4, 7), Block B (periods 1-2, 5-6, 7), Block C (periods 3-6, 7). Period 7 never meets on Tuesday and on special schedules. Let's say our first day of school begins on a Monday. Thus, Monday is Block A, Tuesday is Block B, Wednesday is Block C, Thursday is Block…

To create a 3 day cycle schedule, click Go To → School Year. You can also name each cycle day as needed and this will show in your week view below the date. Please feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

  18. Empty slots

This will allow teachers to view any classes throughout the year that we did not put lesson plans in. It will show all the "holes" that need to be filled with the lessons we did not type up in the class. There are some days we just do not get to planbook to put lessons in that we did that week or that day and we have to search and figure out what week that was.
Right now I am having to scroll and find weeks where I have holes in my weekly lesson plans. Having this idea would be…

You can view the empty slots via the List View for a class. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know!

  19. ask before deleting text, especially when changing the schedule

To explain: I have a class on Tues-Friday. I bumped last Friday's lesson to the next day, which was Tuesday. However, due to schedule change, I can squeeze in SS on Monday. I added that day to my plans and went to move Tuesday's lesson to Monday but it was GONE. It was a full activity and I am bummed it is gone. This has happened before but this time I know I didn't delete it by accident and did not miss the popup that the change would change the text I already had.

  20. When you choose "items" to view have it save it.

Each time I log in to plan book I have to go and hide the huge list of standards for my lesson plans. It would be nice to have it save what you select (or in my case unselect) so that you don't have to go in each time and hide what you don't want to see.

    Hi Molly,

These “items” preferences are saved when you physically sign out of your account, under your display name at the top right of your page. Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any other questions by sending a message to support@planbook.com.

    Thank you!
