  1. TAG my lessons to find later

This goes along with the search function, but I teach science (with labs) and I would love to be able to tag my lab double periods as "LAB" and then filter them out so at the end of the year, I can see all the labs I did with that particular class. I'm working toward building a bit of a lab manual, so to speak, and it would be wonderful to filter them out and see them.

  2. Add a class to a single day

In high school, having so many events, i.e. Homecoming, pep rallies, etc., class days are not always set in stone. Removing a class is easy, but I would like to add/move a class to a day when we don't usually meet.

You can create multiple templates for a single class, where each template is for a separate section of the class. Please feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

  5. Adjust and Lock the height of the display for classes

It would be helpful to be able to lock the height of each class in the weekly display. If more information is typed than will fit, a scroll bar would appear just for that class on that day. This way the blocks for classes could be consistent across the week. Breaks and recesses would line up, and comparing plan books with someone using a paper plan book would be easier.

  7. Make blocks the same size

I would love to see a view where all the blocks line up. For example-all the class taught from 7:45-8:15 line up. It would make it a lot easier for me to see what I am teaching. Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

You can use the “Items” drop down to hide the standards descriptions in your lessons. Take a look and let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    Chris

  12. Create a spread sheet with checkoffs for standards.

I would like a printable list of the standards for Colorado that has check off areas for 'introduced', 'retaught', 'mastered', 'assessed' with boxes big enough to write a date. This way I could keep track on paper what standards I've covered how many times and if I've assessed them or not. I could also print one for each child so that I could see what they still need to work on. If a spreadsheet like this is too much, then I think it would be great to be able to print the standards. I have searched online in vain for…

  13. allow teachers to extend just a portion (ie Standards) of the lesson throughout several days

There are times that I need the same standards for several days, but do not have the same lesson every day. I would like to be able to extend just the standards throughout several days without disturbing the lessons that I copied from last year. (We changed to Common Core.)

  15. graphics??

I find that I cannot add graphics into my lessons easily -- is it because I am using the free trial? Every time I add a graphic I get a blank graphic box.

  16. Additional functionality for one-time schedule changes?

Background: My school is on a six day rotating schedule, and I don't see any classes all six days.

First - Every so often we'll have a Day 1 be a Day 4 and then the next Day 4 is a Day 1, for example. I'd like to be able to make this happen within Planbook - last year I resorted to putting a big yellow banner at the top of the days directing students to look at a different day for their homework. Yuck.

Second: As I said, we're on a six day rotation, but every calendar Tuesday is…

    HI Jessica,

If you click Go To → School Year, you can add “Terms” for each day your schedule needs to be altered to a different day. Simply give the term a name (such as “Reset 1”) put in the date, and then select the cycle day it starts on. Hope that helps, any questions please contact us at support@planbook.com

  17. curious....

a year ago I was curious about your side, logged in to look around, and w/ having a new job.... hit the ground running and never had a chance to look back. Now I'm looking again and am curious...is there a way to finally take advantage of my 30 day review? Can my trial be restarted in a sense to finally be used?
