  1. re: EXTEND feature

EXTEND feature - I have used this often in the past. I tried it today and it appears to simply "bump" into the next lesson plan slot, getting rid of it. It did not extend all of the lessons and move them forward. I used the feature twice and therefore, I lost two lesson plans that were beyond.

I will try it again, but this feature seems to have changed. I like the old way better!

  3. standards

The standards are not changing when I change them. The new area is changing and it says it is loading, but the standards themselves are staying with the previous setting.

  4. why isn't there a way to go back to how you originally had your plan set up?

I tried bumping lessons for standardized testing and when I realized I went too far there was no way for me to go back to what I had originally done. I have to manually redo it ALL.

You can use the DELETE function to remove an extra lesson AND shift all your lessons back one day. If you BUMP too far, simply right click on the extra blank day, and press DELETE

To develop a bi-weekly schedule, click the Go To button, select School Year, and set Classes are scheduled to 2 weeks. You can then update your class teach days for each of the two weeks. If you have any questions or problems, please contact us at support@planbook.com

    Thanks,

  6. Problem with standards

I accidentally clicked on a standard I didn't need for that lesson. In the previous version, you could just click it again before you hit apply, and it would "un"highlight. In this Beta version, when I clicked on the standard to unselect it, it remained highlighted. I clicked on it several more times and when I hit apply, that standard was listed multiple times under my standards tab. I like the old way where you could unselect by clicking on it again before you hit reply.

  9. add features import

I am having trouble importing my lessons from the first half of this school year into the second half of the school year. The classes have different names. I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. If you had an import from ... to.... It would elevated this confusion. Also, it would be nice to do more than one class at a time. I teach 4 8th grade classes, 3 7th and 6th grades. It would be nice to import them together.

  10. When you are list form changing class easier

When I am in list and click on a new class from the class list. I have to re-click on list in order for the new class to load. It would be nice if when you unclick one class and click a new class, it automatically loads that class.

Good news! We have changed our List view to make it much easier to go from one class to another. Hope that helps, please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

  11. print options

When I am printing information for a class, I would like to be able to check off whether I want homework, notes, etc. like you can for week. Also, when I am in class list view and I go to print it automatically has events checked. I have more than once printed events by accident thinking I was printing class lessons. It would be nice if when in class view and you click print it goes to class with options to print only certain areas. Thanks

  12. put the standards back

All the standards I selected for the year are now gone! Now I have to go back in and redo the standards for the past months. I am not sure why this happened. I wish there would be a way to retrieve them.

  13. Planbook

With 2 months left to my school year, I feel the new fee is a bit like robbery. The company is taking advantage of teachers knowing full well there plans are already in the system.

  15. Printout Standards

Is there any way you can set it up so that we can view a set of standards and print it out without having to copy and paste to a spreadsheet of our own?

I teach 3-4-5-6 Technology and Library. I want a set of standards for each class/section. Copying and pasting to a spreadsheet is taking quite a bit of time. Having a "master list" would be very helpful to refer to as I set up weekly plans.

Thanks - love the program so far.

When adding a new school year, you can select what classes to copy over from the prior year to the new one. Once you have a new year created, you can created a class, and them import lessons from a prior year class into the new one. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@planbook.com

    Thanks!
