create a custom date
I teach piano lessons and use planbook to keep track. Sometimes I'll have a student get sick on their lesson day and need to reschedule within the week. It's great that I can set a custom time, but having an option to change the day would be highly beneficial.

put the day in time order
I input my classes in order for the day. However, it is showing me my classes with some afternoon classes on top and morning ones in bottom. I can't find a way to fix them.

Add a section for IEP goals
I like the option of 'My List' however I wish either
(a) you could change the title to IEP goals
or
(b) you could have a tab for IEP goals that would be similar to how my lists is set up.3 votes -
Allow us to edit plans from this year for next year
I would LOVE to be able to re-use my lesson plans from this year - next year. Could you put in a feature that allows up to change the date on lessons plans so that we could use the same plans next year without having to copy and paste everything over????
3 votesHi Katy,
Good news! When you add your new school year next year (click on the Year drop down in the upper left corner, and select “Add a Year”), you will have the option to copy over your classes and lessons from the prior year to the new one. Take a look, and let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Make it possible to have a rotating schedule
In our district we don't teach on a five day Monday-Friday schedule. We teach on an 8 day schedule, so for example, we might teach 1 class once every 8 days, and another class every day. In other buildings there is a DAY A and a Day B. It is very difficult to customize a schedule such as this in planbook and it becomes too cumbersome and time consuming to manage.
3 votesHi Kim,
If you click Go To → School Year, you can set your schedule to be a cycle of 8 days (and name the days as appropriate). Please email us at support@planbook.com if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Attach learning objectives to standards
Our school requires us to post learning objectives for lessons that are based on the standards. We do it in the form of "I can statements". I would love to create I can statements that are attached to the standards so that when I attach a standard my correlating I can statement could appear in the plans as well.

Access 'classes' in the 'Plans' view for quick daily schedule adjustments
I think it would be a great idea to be able to quickly add or remove classes while in the plan view, as opposed to having to toggle between the classes and plans page. There are some classes I teach only 3 times a week and other times at all. Being able to uncheck or add a class while creating plans would be awesome!

More options for templates
My school is on a 6 day rotation for specials. I want to have specials as a class period so I can plan out what I need to do during this time. I would like to be able to schedule out Art on days 1 and 4, PE on days 2 and 5, and Music on 3 and 6. In addition, I would like to be able to schedule in library once every 2 weeks on a Wednesday. i know our schedule is weird but being able to have more options when creating templates would be great!

Delete a lesson without bumping subsequent lessons backward
When I right-click and select "delete," the lesson is deleted and all following lessons are bumped backward by one day, so the lesson I just deleted is now filled with the lesson that was supposed to be the following day. I don't want this. When I delete a lesson, I just want it blank. I want it to be the same as if I clicked on the lesson, highlighted the text, deleted it, and clicked "Apply."

Add the Scottish Curriculum (Experiences and Outcomes)
We recently asked ForAllRubics to add the Scottish standards which are like the Common Core but in real English.. 8-) They did it that day. Used an excel spreadsheet. Any chance of you doing the same? Currently I had to cut and paste the English/Literacy ones into the last field. Any chance? I've been telling teachers over here about planbook and many have checked you out. Adding the Scottish Curriculum will encourage many more to actually sign up for the year etc. Thanks

Allow others to filter what they see displayed on my plans.
I have a variety of different groups (students, parents, colleagues, administrators, etc.) viewing my plans. My plans get very long once I add my plans, targets, vocab, websites, and standards. I would like them to be able to select the parts they want to view and minimize/hide the others.

Map Out My Own Academic Calendar with school day tracker and weekend class options
What I want: to map out our academic school year. Example: School starts on Tues. Aug 6th. And I know I need 180 school days with the normal Mon-Fri week; so, when will my school year end? and then I get to plug in holidays, vacation days, etc. and as I plug those in the last day of school adjusts appropriately. and I can see it month to month like a normal calendar view.... BUT without having to mark each school day manually.
Also, I'd like to have weekends adjustable as well. Example: we normally do a Monday-Friday school week,…3 votes -
Thank you!
Just....thank you. This is affordable and exactly what I have been looking for. School hasn't started and it's already lifted a 2 ton weight from my shoulders. My family and students don't know it yet, but you've just made their lives easier too.

Integrate Framework Standards for Catholic HS Education
All Catholic High Schools in the U.S. use the USCCB Framework as standards for the four years of Religion that students take. As I am a HS Religion Teacher, I'd like to see these standards in the list as these are what correlate to my lessons.
For more info see: http://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/how-we-teach/catechesis/upload/high-school-curriculum-framework.pdf

View just the standard IDs on screen
I know I can print my plans with just the standard IDs, but I would love to be able to have the ability to just see the IDs on my computer screen in my plans. The standard descriptions end up overwhelming my actual plans.
Thanks!
3 votesHi Kay,
If you click the Items drop down, you can uncheck Standard Descriptions and this will hide the descriptions in your week view. Do not hesitate to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions.
