Export Attendance
Now that we can keep track of attendance is there going to be anything added in which we can export the attendance for the class? Or at the very least, check it on the website. We can take attendance, but I haven't seen a way to go back and look at an overview of attendance either by student or by class.
4 votesFrom the Grades page, the Print to PDF button will allow you to print or export your student attendance. When you can, give it a try and let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Make easier to edit/copy tables
Editing tables is very cumbersome. It's too hard to change the size and edit/move text within a table.
Make it possible to copy a table from one lesson to the next without having to copy the whole lesson
4 votesOur latest version of Planbook offers a new and improved Table Editor! When you can, try it out and let us know what you think!

Make a "baseline" year
I want to be able to make a baseline year that has all of my units and lessons exactly as they are in my pacing guides. It's not working for me to copy from previous years because I make too many changes that I don't want to keep for the next year. I went back to a year before I started using planbook to create this myself, but it's a challenge since the calendar defaults to the current year. If the baseline could exist without being tied to a particular year, that would be helpful.

Add a private notebook
Accessible under the 'Go To' section, so teachers can record behaviour details etc. without it being visible on the home page.
4 votesTo allow our teachers more flexibility in the creation and management of Notes and To Do items, we have moved these to their own page in Planbook!
And to allow teachers to quickly view upcoming items, we have added a Reminders panel, to show events, classwork, notes and todos that are due in the next 7 days.
To view the Reminders panel, click the "Reminders" icon in the upper right corner of your Plans page.

The Ability to Move Classes to non-class days
My weekly teaching schedule is quite fluid, and often I will have classes that get moved to day that is not normally a scheduled class day. It would be great it Planbook had to flexibility to allow moving individual classes to days when the class is not normally scheduled.
4 votesTo move a class to a non-class day, you can use the Add menu to “Add Extra Lesson”. This will allow you to create a new lesson for your class on any day you need. There is no limit to the number of extra lessons you can add for a class, and is absolutely fine to have more than one lesson for a class on a single day. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know.

Create a weekly to do list
I would love to be able to keep a weekly to do list with my plans. For example, enter grades every Monday, sharpen pencils every Tuesday, etc. Attaching these tasks to my daily plans, and keeping them consistent throughout the year, would help me stay organized.
4 votesYou can now set your To Do items to repeat daily or weekly! This is a wonderful way to maintain reminders of your weekly classroom tasks. When you mark it as done, it will vanish from your Reminders panel, and then reappear the following week!
To set up daily or weekly To Do items, go to your Notes & To Do page, and click the "Add" icon to add a new item.

Make the lesson # in lesson banks editable
Currently, if you need to resequence lessons, you have to grab and drag the lesson and scroll all the way to where you want to place it. If there was an option to type the location # and an automatic bump down of the lesson currently in that location, it would be SO much easier!

Could you add the ability to export data to .csv, .xls or even .txt formats?
Could you add the ability to export data from individual lessons to .csv, .xls or even .txt formats? This would allow me to use my current mail-merge lesson plan template to print out my lessons (that go in my plan book) without having to type or copy/paste much of the info twice. (once for the lesson itself, once for the plan book.) Thanks!

Combine days for 2 lessons in one day.
There are times I can start a lesson on one day but need to continue into the next. I would not like to bump the whole day, but be able to combine the days so that I can finish the first and do the second.
Also works for things your brain fries on like planning for Labor Day because you do certain things on Monday but since we aren't there, we need to combine those with Tuesday.

Bump or extend to next class even if times are different.
When bumping or extending a class over a Friday, I always have to manually adjust the plans as our Friday (math for example) is at a different time. The class name is still the same it just occurs at a different time.
3 votesHi Heather,
In looking at your plans, it appears that you created separate classes for Math Mon-Thu, and Math on Friday. You do not need to do this, as you can have a single Math class for Mon-Fri, and then set the start and end times for Friday to be different from Mon-Thu. The fact that you two separate classes is why your bump is not working correctly. Hope this makes sense. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at support@planbook.com
Thanks!

I would like to save my lesson plans to my computer.
It will not let me save it as a PDF because it says it is password protected. It will not let me convert it to a word doc.
