  1. Select month in Calendar

Consider adding a list of months in the form of a drop down menu when using the "Add Event" feature. This would save having to click through each month to get to the one you want.

I wanted to let you know that my first impression of the product are very, very good. This is my first time using it and after reading the overview pages I had enough information to plan out the whole year with lessons, holidays, and other events. I found it quite easy to work everything out.

Our new date selector allows you to adjust the year and month as individual items, saving you the time required to scroll through multiple months to find your date!

  2. Double Check

If there is a chance that something you do is going to delete multiple days of plans, there should be an addition prompt saying something like "this action will delete "X" amount of days. Are you sure you want to do this?" This will help people who are new to the program and still learning the ropes.

  3. Export Gradebook to CSV

It would be useful for other data tracking/ manipulation to be able to export the gradebook.

This would support tracking and management for my colleagues.

When viewing grades for a class, the Print Icon will allow you to print to PDF, or Export to CSV. Hope this helps, any questions please let us know at support@planbook.com. Thanks!

  4. print today

Create a box to print today only. No more selecting from the to/from calendars! I tweak my lessons everyday and so prefer to print 1 day at a time. A check box for "print today only" would make life a bit easier!

You can now print a single day of lesson plans in only two clicks!

To print your plans for a day, click the "Action" icon in the day header, and then click "Send To".

  5. New login picture

I have been using planbook.com for a number of years and really enjoy it. But I think its time for a different log in page. I would like to see something new, the teacher pointing at a student is out dated. What do you think? I don't want that to sound sarcastic but just something new.

  7. Add design themes

The basic white background with standard font type is pretty generic. It is functional, but it would be nice to be able to apply some different designs to change things up and allow for that custom feel.

Planbook v12 offers a new User Interface that is more modern, intuitive, customizable and FAST! You can adjust your display with new options, including custom fonts, dark mode, reduced brightness of past days, school day/week counters (up and down), view by cycle, and a reminders panel.

To change your display settings, click "User Settings" > "Display Settings".

  8. Saving Printing Preferences

In the previous version of Planbook, my preference settings for printing were able to be saved and I didn't have to change it each time I wanted to print. It currently defaults to plans per day and I prefer a weekly view. Is there a way to save my preference?

  9. Add music standards national or by state (WI)

I would like to have access to music standards within your program. It would save the time of having to look for the standards, copy, paste, etc.

  10. Allow an adjustment to the default font

I'd like to be able to set the font color and size without having to do it every time I click on a box. The font default is small and hard to read.

  13. Add equation editor

I teach math and love your program. However, it would really help me to have an equation editor available to help plan with. I am getting by right now, but having the ability to type in math equations and symbols would be fantastic. Just something like what is available in Word or Excel. I have seen an html, or Java applet, open with this ability also. I am not sure how complicated it would be. Even if you make it an in app purchase, I would definitely buy it. I could even BETA test it for you if you create…

  14. Add Standards - Move "apply" button

The "apply" button in the "add standards" window is very close in location to the "apply" button in the "lesson plan" window under it. I often click the button from the "lesson plan" window instead of the button in the "add standards" window. The lesson plan then closes, and I have to open it and start over.

To provide better support for lesson organization and long range planning, we have added support for Class Units. An unlimited number of units can be created for each class, and you can then assign standards, assignments, assessments, and lessons to the unit. Units can be as short or long as needed, and can break down a class into weeks, chapters, themes, etc.

  19. Add a tab to the plans that allows uploading worksheets attached to a particular plan.

If I could upload pdfs, etc. I could not only have my plans, but all my worksheets, etc. could be stored digitally and then next year I could pull in my plans and have all my materials there to open and send to the copier. Then my file cabnets could go away!!!

When putting in a link for a lesson instead of having to change each link for multiple lessons to open in new Window have a place to set for the user that all links open in new Tab. Why is there only the option to open in new Window.
