Student view at home
Please permit students to view classes one day at a time. Currently the option to only view as a full week can be difficult to read and I ask them to copy/paste out of planbook and into a document.

Add Standards - Keep subject the same when switching grade
It would great if there was a way to keep the subject area the same as you search between grade levels. I work with special education students and often times I am searching between multiple grade within the same subject. When I want to search for another grade level, the subject goes back to the default which is "Arts-Connections". Thanks!

Google+ Integration allows you to view Google Calendar events in your plans, and attach Google Drive documents to your lessons. To view Google Calendar events, click on your display name (upper right corner), select Account, connect to your Google+ account, and select the calendars you’d like to include in your plans. To attach Google Drive documents to your lessons, use the Google Drive Icon in the lesson editor.

Add instructional strategies to a template
There is currently a place to list strategies. I'd like to be able to attach a master copy or template in that section.

Gradebook Titles
It would be nice if the titles for each assessment and assignment don't move when I am putting in grades, so that I can see the assessment and assignment titles when I am scrolling down. The titles disappear.

Allow administrator to place a note on plans.
As an administrator I would sign teacher plans weekly and often leave notes. I like planbook.com so far but find it frustrating to track down the teacher to provide feedback that I could simply have noted on the plan page.
12 votesGood news! We have added the ability for administrators to provide comments and feedback on teacher plans! Simply click More → Comments to add comments for a teacher.

add more options for sharing plans.
Every class should have its own sharing options. I would like to have 4 or 5 different "share" links for the 4 or 5 different classes I teach.
I don't want my 8th grade social studies students to see the plans for my 7th grade social studies classes. There should be a feature to customize sharing options in this way (by class).

Make private attachments a different color
So that when you are looking at a week you can ensure that the correct attachments are visible to the students and those that you want to remain private are such and you can see that without clicking on every individual day.
12 votesTo help identify private attachments in your lessons, we now append the word "(private)" to the end of the attachment name.

Drop pictures into lesson plans
I am a mac user and a visual art teacher. I would like the ability to drop pictures into my lesson plans, and to be able to see them. In a a world that is increasingly becoming more visually literate as evidenced by apps, media, google images, etc., I can only imagine how helpful this would be other teachers, students and all the visual learners of the world. I am certain you are aware of the expression "a picture is worth a thousand words." Thank you.

make it possible to see one class individually not just all at once.
Being able to collapse specific classes would allow teachers to be able to view one class singularly without having to sift through all the other classes.
This would also be great for the student view. I have multiple classes, so my kids for one class would have to look at all of my classes. I teach middle school, so that might confuse my kids at first.

Add some features to the gradebook
It would be nice to be able to copy assignments from one class section to the next. If I give the same assignment to both of my sixth grade classes, I shouldn't have to manually type it in for each class section. Also, I would like to see the option to add some "codes" instead of just numeric values for grades. There should be codes for missing work (MWK), excused (EXC), Absent (ABS) that can be entered. Missing work would count as a zero and bring the average down, excused and absent would not count against their average.

Unit Templates
Add more detailed templates. For example, all of my units work the same. It's a 30 day run. My basics (Bellwork, Lesson, Homework, Materials, etc.) are all the same. The only difference are the individual page numbers, story titles, and Unit Titles. It is also the same for multiple classes. My 9th and 10th grade follow the same format. My 11th and 12th grade follow the same format. I'd love to be able to apply each day (30 templates) one time and have it fit for all my units. I can't even use the templates right now because I can't…

Include a Single Sign On (SSO) option
Having an SSO solution through Microsoft, Google, GG4L or something along those lines will help teachers not have to remember more passwords.

Changing to "day" view automatically opens to the current date
In the old set up, when I changed to "day" view, it automatically moved to view the current day. Now, it automatically changes to the first day of the week. It's only one extra click to change to "today", but if it would do this automatically, it'd be nice.

Thanks!

Alignment of classes when printing
When the plans are printed, you show be able to view the classes across, but if one or two days in the plan are longer, it completely messes up the view and printing of the plans. You should be able to view the class all the way across the page instead of going up and down.
