  1. Add check boxes to lessons

I want checkboxes in my lesson outline so I can know how far I get in case I underplan or skip a step and want to do it next time. This would be an addition to the numbering system or bullet point system. Bonus points if I can digitally check the box.

  2. Show one lesson at a time

When I use minus or plus buttons in lessons bank, all lessons are shown or hidden together. It would be interesting to hide or show only one lesson at a time.

  3. Please add more tabs to UNIT plans to include Universal Design.

    UBD includes the following:
    Transfer skill
    Enduring understandings
    Standards
    Essential Questions
    Knowledge
    Skills
YOu can find out more about it anywhere. . . .but I know my district would be more likely to want to pay for planbook for its teachers if it could connect our UBD units with lesson plans.

  4. Allow admin to mark lesson as reviewed

The only way to show that lesson plans have been checked now is to leave a comment. It would be nice to be able to provide a simple checkmark to show they have been read/approved without leaving a comment every week.

Teachers can now mark when their plans are "Ready" for the week! This adds a green "vertical bar" next to the teacher icon, to allow administrators to quickly see which teachers have completed their plans. Administrators can also mark when a teacher's plans have been "Reviewed/Approved" for the week.

In addition, Administrators can go to a new "Reporting - Plans" page, to track teacher plan submissions by week or year!

  5. Delete all plans for year/month/week

I think it would be nice to have a delete button for the year, month and week. Sometimes I have to start over or maybe I made a mistake and this would make fixing it a whole lot easier.

To delete a group of lessons for a specific class or your entire year, just click Go To → Classes or School Year. Here, use the three-dot icon in the upper-right to select “Manage Lessons”. This will allow you to select up to one year of lessons quickly to delete those quickly.

  6. Quick hide/show individual lesson

On the display of the lesson beside the drop down menu you could create a button that you could press to hid the lesson and unhide the lesson. This would make navigating daily lessons tons easier and allow for more versatility in using the planbook for all around planning.

To allow our teachers more flexibility in the creation and management of Notes and To Do items, we have moved these to their own page in Planbook!

When adding notes, you can also indicate if the note is specific to a student and/or a class in your plans.

  8. Change the cover page each year so we don't see the same face every time we log in.

Change the cover page each year so we don't see the same face every time we log in. Maybe a nature scene, or anything with lighting and artistic composition or flair.

  9. Lesson Banks

While teaching a unit that I copy and past from my Lesson Bank into my Daily Plans, I often make changes to those lessons as I'm teaching them or add additional resources items.

Why can't we have on option to update our Lesson Bank immediately with the changes we make to the Daily Lessons from that Lesson Bank

Too often I loose my changes because I made them in the Daily Lessons as I teach each day because I have to remember to also go back to the Lesson Bank and update those lessons also with my changes.

    It's so…

  11. Allow administrators to be able to see units created by teachers

Some of our teachers are just using planbook.com to plan at a unit level and I currently can't access their unit plans.

When viewing a teacher’s plans, you may click on any Unit ID in order to see more details about the unit, including the date range it is applied to and the text within the unit sections. Please let us know if you have any questions, thanks!

  12. Export Attendance

Now that we can keep track of attendance is there going to be anything added in which we can export the attendance for the class? Or at the very least, check it on the website. We can take attendance, but I haven't seen a way to go back and look at an overview of attendance either by student or by class.

From the Grades page, the Print to PDF button will allow you to print or export your student attendance. When you can, give it a try and let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

  14. View plans by cycle rather than week

Many of us teach a cycle and like to see the entire span. We would like to see "Cycle" added to the options for displaying our plans along with Day/Week/Month and List.

You can now view your plans by Day, Week, Month, List and Cycle!

To view your plans by Cycle, select "Cycle" on the "Timeframe" bar.

  15. Add "view only" user type

I have staff members (support staff, teaching assistants) that need to be able to see multiple classes easily but I don't want them to have to any admin privileges in terms of settings and such. At the moment I have just enabled it but I am worried about it long-term.

  16. 5E Lesson Plan format

I love your software and it has made my life so much better! THANK YOU
    I have a suggestion:
Allow to add tabs to my lesson plans where I can show the 5E format
or design a 5E format for everyone to use as an option

We offer support for the 5E Instructional Model in two ways!

First, you can customize your lesson sections (Go To > Display Settings) to create a unique tab for each step in the model. Second, if you enable your Instructional Strategies tab, you can then include the 5E Model as a teacher strategy for your lessons.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Thanks!

  18. Allow units to be assigned to TEACHER, and not a class/year.

Create a TEACHER lesson bank, organized by units. Allow teachers to assign the lesson they create to a unit, and be able to access that unit/lesson bank from ANY class ANY year.

You can now create Lesson Banks, with units and lessons, to store curriculum outside of your class schedule.

Lesson Linking, when combined with Lesson Banks, provides teachers and schools with a powerful curriculum management tool. Teachers can collaborate on the development of curriculum (classes, units, lessons), store the curriculum in lesson banks, and set permissions for who can view or edit the banks.

Teachers can then either COPY or LINK the lesson banks into their plans. COPY will allow teachers to create a new set of lessons that are solely for their individual use. LINK will establish a link to the source lesson, such that any changes made will automatically show in both the source and the target lessons of the link.

To learn more, visit our knowledge base at https://planbook.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1947022-the-copy-screen

  19. Allow the same email address to be used for multiple students.

I have siblings in my classroom. Obviously, they will have the same parent email and phone number.

Good news! It is absolutely fine to use the same parent email and phone number for multiple students in your class or school. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know!

  20. Print Lesson Button

Your print lesson button in the lesson bank hasn't been working for a while. It still works in the plans though? I've sent multiple messages, but haven't heard back.
