  1. Filter lesson bank lessons

Is there a way to sort all lessons in lesson bank at the same time? For example, if I wanted to see all lessons for Unit 5 or for a specific standard I should be able to click on the heading and have the lesson bank sort.

All prior classes and lessons are automatically saved in your account. Each year, we recommend that you use the “Add Year” process to create a new school year, and this ensures that all of your prior years retain their content. Hope that helps, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

  3. auto-fill dates when printing from list view

It is a major pain to print your plans out of List View when you want to just print off a single unit. Currently you can select the course and the unit you want to view, which is fantastic. However, it is often quicker for me to take two screenshots than to try and get the dates correct. That's kind of dumb. For instance, if my unit is longer than what my screen will display and I click print before I remember that I need to write down the start and end dates. I can no longer scroll down to…

Good news! The iOS font size feature has been added to our new Planbook Mobile app! Hope that helps, any questions please let us know. Thanks!

  5. Mobile Apps - Hide "School Day" counter

iOS app, latest version. I am so annoyed that there is no option to turn off the "School Day" information at the top of the screen. This is just clutter - completely irrelevant information. Please add an option for this display option to allow subscribers to turn it OFF.

To hide the School Day counter, click User Settings > Display Settings > General and turn off "Show School Day Counter".  This will hide the school day counter on both the website and mobile apps.

  6. Bump all lessons for entire day

When I have a sub, they can't usually do the same thing that I would have done in class (foreign language). I have to individually bump each class's lesson plans to add sub-friendly plans. There is a function to do this for no school days, but it would be nice to have one that allows you to enter different plans.

You can now bump all your lessons for an entire day!  To bump your lessons, click the "Action" icon in the day header, and then "Bump Day".

  7. Change class name font for multiple classes

I'd like to be able to select all the classes I want to and change all the title fonts at once!

If you change your default font (User Settings > Display Settings > General > Font Family), this will then give you an option to apply the new font/size to all classes and lesson layouts.

  8. Option to hide past days

I'd love it if you would add the feature where you can hide days that are completed within a week...but not get rid of them. So for example, now that I have completed Monday and Tuesday I'd love to hide those days so I can just see the days I have left. But I still want to be able to view those days in case I need to look at the info I wrote in the plans. Hope that makes sense. THANK YOU!

To make it easier for you to distinguish between prior and future days in your plans, you can now reduce the brightness of prior days!

To change the display of prior days in your plans, click "User Settings" > "Display Settings" > "General", and select "Reduce Brightness of Past Days".

  9. Sort Units by Start Date

It would be nice to be able to sort Units by start date. This would allow us to see a "year at a glace" and make it easier to find units based on when they occur. Thank you!

You can now sort your units be Start Date, End Date, Class, ID or Title!  To manage your units, go to your Units page.

  10. Change pre-set holidays and events

As a Canadian, it doesn't make sense to have to deal with every American holiday. It makes more sense to be able to customize the pre-existing ones (for example, I don't care about the US election or American Thanksgiving but we do celebrate Halloween and Valentine's Day)

You can turn off the auto display of all holidays by clicking User Settings > Display Settings > Events & Stickers, and unchecking "Show all Holidays".  You can also remove individual auto display holiday stickers by clicking on the action icon for the sticker, and selecting "Delete".

  11. Student view - completely blank!

  12. Copy/Paste problems and Sticky Mouse Cursor!!

I am having a problem still with copy/paste - I'm losing the formatting. ALso - now my mouse is "sticking" to the lesson tab and I can't get rid of it (and end up dragging the lesson plan all over the browser window) other than closing the window with a keyboard command. Never saw anything like THAT before!

  13. English for Iowa Standards

I'd love to be able to add English/Language Arts standards from the Iowa Core.
They're much more comprehensive than the National Common Core.

  14. add a copy and paste feature.

Allow us to select one or pieces of a plan (lesson, objective, standard, etc.) to copy and paste to other subjects, other days, etc.
For example, I'm meeting the same standard in multiple lessons, but doing different activities. I'd like a way to quickly 'extend' (or even bump back) just the standard without extending the activities as well.

One of our most highly requested features! You will now have the ability to move a lesson from one day to another, and/or from one class to another. You can move a lesson using the Action drop down menu, or simply use the Move icon to drag the lesson from one day to another.

To simplify the process of sharing lessons, we’ve added support for class collaboration. Multiple teachers (or a single teacher with multiple sections) can now “share” the lessons of a class. A change made by one teacher will automatically update the lesson for all teachers who share the class. To allow others to share your lessons, edit the class, and set Collaborate to “View Only” or “View/Edit”. To share the lessons from another teacher, edit your class, and set Collaborate to “Replica”. You’ll then be able to select a teacher and class to share the lessons.

  18. Display

Display views differently without having to change display back and forth, it would be just a clicking between the two.
For example week view would be same sized boxes but switching to day view would be all information visible.

We’ve added a new “Copy” button to allow you to view and copy lessons (includes drag/drop) from another teacher, another year, or even one class to another. Hope this helps, any questions just let us know at support@planbook.com. Thanks!

  20. iOS App - copy/paste certain sections

The ability to copy/paste only certain fields/sections is already available on the website. I would love to see the iPad app gain this function also. It could be as simple as having a dropdown menu from the "copy" button so that you could select/deselect the sections.
