    Hello,

To minimize your Standards and Standards ID’s, click on the “Items” drop-down menu towards the top of the screen and un-check the appropriate boxes. This should give you some breathing room. Please contact me at support@planbook.com if you have any questions at all.

  3. Search Box

Although I can select one class in List View and search it, it would be nice to have a search box available that would search all classes in any view.

    Hi Kim,

We offer the ability to save plans as a PDF file, which you can email or save to a hard drive. To do this, select “Print to PDF” under the “More” menu. Once you select the information you want displayed, select Print. When you hit print your plans will then be saved to your computer.

Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any questions by emailing support@planbook.com.

    Thank you!

  6. Confusing display after app update

After the recent update, the weekly display on the iPad app has changed. Some lessons do not show any of their content until I click them to edit them. This is confusing, as I can't tell whether I have planned for that class or not.

  7. Marie Watson

I can't figure out how to keep times entered with classes and am having to reset times each week. Is there a way to have them stay intact when moving from week to week?

    Hi Marie,

In the Classes section, under your Go To menu, you can select a class and choose Edit. The next page will allow you to assign default times for the class. Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any questions by emailing support@planbook.com

    Thanks!

    Chris

  8. Creat a planbook app

I would suggest you create a plan book app for apple and android because as a teacher I constantly have knew ideas that I want to add to my plans. I want to instantly put it into my plans but with the website it is supper hard to see and click on things when using a hand held device.

    Hi there,

We currently have an iPad app which links with your plans, called planbook.com. This app is free to download and use with an active subscription. If you have any questions, please email us at support@planbook.com.

    Thank you!

  9. Add a tab

It would be great I'f you could add a tab for "materials" where the lesson, standard, notes tabs are.

Love this app...just purchased a year...easy to use and no complaints, only the suggestion.

  10. create a "roll over" standard

When you move the cursor over the standard code it will reveal the full standard description. You would not have to go to Items and click to see the full description

You can now roll over a standard id to see its description. Hope that helps, please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

  11. arrange the system so each subject can be edited and printed by itself without the rest of the plan.

It is tremendously easier to write all of my plan for the week by subject and print them that way. I use less paper and ink and it is far earier to follow. I prefer the opening on the first page of the first subject, lunch listed with that subject, and the closing with that subject. Since my district insists - so far- on using your site, if there is a way to write and edit by subject without going to the very difficult to read box, please let me know. Currently I haver to write 2 sets of plans.…

  14. Rename attached documents

The way I store my documents in my computer is more based on the unit and topic for quick searching. When I attach them to Planbook, I would like to be able to rename them for their purpose.

For example, if one period is using the sheet as an exit ticket, and another class is using it as a warm-up (and I wanted to differentiate between the two file purposes), I would have to rename THEN attach.

    Please! Thank you!

In My Files list, you can double click on a file name to rename it. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know!

  15. Just a question

If I subscribe right now, does that end my one month of free subscription, or does it go from the end of that month? Thanks, just wondering. My free month is up on April 11th, but I'm not always the most patient guy when I want to buy something. : )

    Hi there,

You can run a standards report by navigating to the Standards section under your Go To menu. Here you can select the specific search criteria you want to use and then hit the View option to the right. If you have any questions, please email me at support@planbook.com.

    Thank you,

    Chris

  17. create a lesson that won't bump, by tagging it as permanent

It would be nice if you could put in a lesson, meeting, field trip, on a date that could be tagged to stay in place even if you bump lessons before that day (so everything doesn't get bumped.) Thank you :)

  18. allow for entering "no class" for extended periods of time

Instead of clicking "no class" on every single class for every single day, I suggest that under school year there is the option to create time off slots for long vacations.

    Hi Marcy,

In this case, you can create an Event set as a No School Day. This event can extend for the duration of your entire break. You can create an event under your More menu. Please take a look, and send us an email at support@planbook.com if you have any questions.

    Thank you,

    Chris

  19. Make a "print" option available for the standards page.

With the new OTES evaluation for teachers, it is important that we show record of teaching each standard. It would be wonderful if we could print the page that displays the number of times we have taught a content standard.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately we do not have a built in printing function for the standards report page. What you may be able to use is your browsers print option. This can typically be done by pressing CTRL+P on your keyboard. Please let me know if this helps, or if you have any questions by sending us an email to support@planbook.com.

    Thank you,

    Chris

  20. offer different print or setup options

I would love to see the option to have a different set up for the plans. Having columns for each day is very confusing to read for me. My reading plans are very extensive and having long columns that fill up 10 pages is very confusing.

It would be easier to read if all of Monday's reading was in one block across the page. Then Monday's math was in a block under that one and so on.

    Hi Jennifer,

If you use our “Print to PDF” option, under the More menu, you can try printing using the Day view. This will help for longer lessons, allowing the information to be less condensed. Please take a look, and if you have any questions please send us an email at support@planbook.com.

    Thank you,

    Chris
