Planning Time
There is no way to add a "planning time slot" to the lesson plan template. All teachers, by contract have a free professional time called "planning" for about 40 minutes 1 time per day.
I see no way to add this to the lesson plan overall. I like to have it in my schedule because I juggle many grades.
2 votesWe recommend adding a class called “Planning Time” to your plans to serve as a placeholder for your planning period each day. Feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions.

Standards
I love your plan book. I would love it if you had a feature that showed how often of which standards have been used throughout the year.

week and month outline view
It helps me to see an overview of the main topics that I need to cover in a month and week. The month view includes unit topics for all subject areas and the week view includes the lessons and activities for that week. I am using a blank calender-type template separate from planbook to accomplish this now but wonder if there is already a feature in the program that would help me. Ideally the week/month view would allow me to choose the class headings that display and type in the details.
2 votesHi Gail,
You can view your plans in a monthly view by switching the “Week” drop down menu to “Month”. You will be able to select a class from this view to enter plans as well. Please let us know if this helps, or if you have any other questions by emailing support@planbook.com.
Thank you!

Keep class lined Up
I would like to see the classes remain in a line across the page. I like that the cell size remains the same size but when you add an event then the classes no longer remain in a straight line across the page. I would also like to be able to set the cell size so that classes with a shorter text could have a smaller cell.

add compatibility with Chrome.
Would love to use planbook.com on the Chrome web browser. Unfortunately the platform has a whole host of issues in terms of editing formatting on lessons when done in Chrome. Whenever I delete previously entered colored text it gets screwy with the fonts and background colors.

Day Option on Student Version
Right now it seems that the only way students can read my plans is to view them a week at a time. I write a lot in my plans and kids have to scroll and scroll to get at the entire assignment including attachments. If planbook could offer a day view, it makes it much easier for them to read. I project my plans from planbook every day so that kids can see their due dates. I always use the day view so that I can fit the notes for an entire subject on the screen at a time. This…

Be able to add lessons to a class you do not normally see on that day
We sometimes have to run a monday timetable on a tuesday to compensate for public holidays and while I can reorder the times of lessons that I might have on that day, If I do not see a class on that day then I run into problems as I can't add it as part of that class' schedule

UPDATE TEXAS MATH TEKS
Although the updated TEKS aren't official until the 14-15 school year, we're already having to address them in our lesson plans. I'm so grateful that you all have the standards listed for easy access. Is it possible to include the updated TEKS for Math?

"To Do" List on Week At a Glance view
Hello! I love using planbook! I don't know if it would be possible, but it would be very helpful to consider a "To Do" column that would be part of the week at a glance view. (e.g.. M-F weekday view and an additional column for things "to do" that week. )
Thanks very much!2 votesHi Bri,
You may be able to take advantage of our “Teacher Notes” section, which you can access by selecting the notepad icon at the top of your plans. This is an area where you can write information which will be the same no matter which week you are in. If you have any questions, please email us at support@planbook.com.
Thanks,
Chris

Schedule Swap
Due to holidays often falling on either a Monday or Friday, my school board sometimes swaps days. In other words we will have a Monday schedule on a Wednesday for instance. It would be helpful if there were a feature to swap day schedules.
2 votesHi there,
A feature you may be able to use, is the option to set custom times. You can find this option at the top of the lesson edit window for a specific lesson. Please let me know if this option works, or if you have any questions by sending us an email at support@planbook.com.
Thank you,
Chris

Multiple links for website
I would like to have more than one link for my website. I have 2 separate classes I teach and I would like my students to be able to access the planbook for their particular class. Right now, I can only link one planbook and therefore have to put both classes on one planbook making it confusing for the students.
2 votesHi Mrs. Wakeman,
If you choose the “Download Links” option on the Sharing page, it will provide a document with individual links for each class. Please take a look, and if you have any questions please send us an email to support@planbook.com.
Thank you,
Chris

Allow viewing of weekends
We have a number of weekend activities at our school and I cannot see how (it indeed it is possible) one would make it so that you can see weekend events on the normal plans.

7 day plan
I am a Youth pastor and would love to use this to plan our program each year. We typically follow a 3 semester profile; fall, winter and summer but our activities cover a 6 to 7 day week depending on the programming. Anything like that capability in planbook? My wife teaches second grade and loves your product.
2 votesWe recommend that you create a unique plan (“school year”) for each semester, and you can click Go To → School Year to define a cycle schedule of 2 to 20 days. Please feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

tags, word search option
We're getting a new 6 year curriculum this summer. I've planned lessons from the last series on planbook for two years now. It would be swell to search by word or tag from previous lessons and move those blocks around to meet the timing for this new series

adding deleted classes
Is there a way to add classes that have been deleted from a day due to an event? I deleted all classes for field day, but it was cancelled because of the rain. Then, I did not know how to add those classes back to that day.
2 votesIf you click Go To → Classes, and edit a class, you can then remove any No Class days created for the class. Please feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

please consider including the benchmarks for the AASL Standards for the 21 Century Learner for our library lessons.
Please include the ability to identify the benchmarks for our AASL Standards. Please also consider allowing a template for the lesson which would include Hook, Acquisition, Understanding, Transfer. Is it possible to include TIP chart targets for technology?
2 votesThe AASL standards are available under “National – Library Program (AASL)” in the State/Local drop down menu. If you click Go To → Display, you can specify names for your lesson sections (such as Hook, Acquisition, etc.). Hope that helps, feel free to contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

Allow a weekend day to be used as one giant notepad that is visible each week.
I would love to have Saturday or Sunday be used as a notepad to write all of my week's objectives. It would be visible each day I look at my weekly planbook.
