Import a lesson (or lessons) from the previous school year
It would be great if I could select a few lessons from the previous year, copy it, and then select the days of this school year that I would like to paste it into.
5 votesYou can use the import feature to import lessons from a prior year. Go to the Classes page, select a class, select import, select My Classes, and then select the year, class, and date range for lessons to import. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@planbook.com
Thanks!

Listing the 8 Mathematical Practices in addition to the standards.
As I understand it, the mathematical practices are at the heart of instruction and student understanding. We've had extensive training on identifying what practices are evident within a lesson and/or concept. As I plan I keep the mp in mind- thought it would be neat to be able to include them along with the standards.

Make it possible to assign a Day 0 on a rotating schedule.
There are a few times throughout the school year, like the first day of school, that is considered a Day 0 on a rotating 5 day cycle schedule. Is there a way to still be allowed to type in plans but have the day count as a day 0?

Change class times
I would like to be able to change a class time from a certain date forward. This way on my plans the class is at say 9 - 9:30 from September until November and then I can change it to 2:15 - 2:45 after. This way I retain all of my lesson plans for the class and it's on the schedule at the right time for the whole school year. I'm a special ed teacher and my schedule changes all the time so this feature would be great.

Format so info can be pasted from MS Word in tables to the lesson plan area.
Hi -
First of all, I love this site/program. However, I had to stop using it. I have to follow a format for the school in MS Word to create a lesson plan. When I paste it into the lesson plan box, I can scroll around a bit - up/down, left/right - to to see it all. However, when I go to print it our to turn in or if I want the students to see it, they are not able to see all of it - the info is cut off, making it all useless.
Is there a way…
5 votesStudents can now view in Day mode, to allow them to see all information related to a lesson.

allow a hide option for standards details
allow an option to show just the code 2Lr3c instead of always having all it written out. I do like to show them sometimes but not always. This way for assignments like Morning Work I can link all the standard but not have it take up so much space.

teacher notes
I really, really like the new Teacher Notes tab. It allows me to make note of the dates of upcoming special events and it is always in front of me so i don't have to move forward through the weeks to see what is coming up. Love it! Thanks.

Allow me to pick which classes to print in the week view
Please allow me to pick which classes to print for the week. You allow me to remove certain classes when I view my plans but this does not carry over to printing. I have created classes such as "dismissal", "morning work" that I don't need to see but will need if a substitute takes over for the day. I would like to leave these off my printed weekly lessons.

Allow conversions of days
I have a block schedule -- M,R,F (straight 7 periods) with T,W (2 hour block periods.) This repeats each week.
The problem is that the first week of school and on testing days, the schedule changes to straight 7 for the week or some derivation thereof.
SOLUTION: Enable a convert day button so that I can convert one day to another. For example, I want to write plans for Wed which is normally a block of three periods. If I convert it to a Monday straight 7, then I can now write 7 period lessons for the Wednesay.
5 votesYou can now add periods (classes) to a day that you do not normally teach the class. This will allow you to convert a block day to a straight day. Please contact us at support@planbook.com with any questions. Thanks!

Add Saturday to the planning claendar
I tutor throughout the week and often have to meet with students on Saturdays because of their schedule conflicts. I still need to put lesson plans in place for those times but find it difficult because I am currently placing those lessons on my Friday. adding Saturday to the calendar would make a world of difference for me!

Deleting a lesson plan
When I delete one class' lesson...on only one day, it moves all other class plans forward one day. I don't want that! When I delete something, it means I want to start that small lesson over, not move all future lessons forward. Is there a way around that? It would be very valuable and save me bunches of time!
