Create a standard list for adding IEP Modifications
Like the option to add state standards to our lesson plans, I believe you should create an option to add common IEP modifications. This could work the same was as adding a Content Standard. Typically, our lesson plans require us to add student modifications, so if we could streamline the process, lesson plans could be done quicker. I think the best option would be a standard list that teachers could also edit in case there is a missing modification that we need to include.
6 votesTo add a list of IEP Modifications, click Go To → My List, and add each item. Then, click Go To → Display, enable lesson section 7, and rename it to “IEP” or whatever you’d like. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know. Thanks!

Add a class description
I would like to be able to post a description of the class when setting it up. When printing lesson plans for a sub, I would include the description for the sub.
Example: Math class: students are expected to start class by getting their binders and pull out their homework. The math teacher manual is located at the front of the room in a basket on the podium. It would be nice to be able to include this on any or all math lessons without having to retype it each time.
6 votesWe’ve added a new sharing option “View – Substitutes” to allow you to more easily share information when you will be out of class. As part of this view, you can include “View Notes” to tell your substitute about common procedures for the day and for specific subjects.

Make it so that we can put in the grade and subject of our standards in a template
...but not have to put in the specific strands. Every time I click on a Grade 5 Music class, I would like the Grade 5 Music standards to load in as well. Right now, it just loads up the last grade's standards that you just typed in. I have six different grades and would appreciate not having to adjust these every time. Thanks!

Student View on Android App
Currently you do not have the student view on the Android app. This is a major inconvenience when trying to work with students and parents to communicate with them what work is being done in school. Also the android phones are much cheaper and a majority of my students have those type of phones.

Mobile Apps - Allow split screen
Doing this would make it possible for iPad Pro users to use half the screen for the Planbook app and half the screen for their notes, a website, or anything!
6 votesGood news! Planbook Mobile allows you to view multiple apps on your iPad via “Slide Over”. While using Planbook, swipe up from the bottom edge and pause to reveal the Dock, then touch and hold an app in the Dock, and drag it above the Dock to use with Planbook. Hope this helps, any questions please let us know!

Transfer Lessons From Years Prior
Here is my idea: Have a button that says 'Copy Lessons' or something similar. When I click on this a box pops up similar to what we see when we import from another teacher. Maybe that box includes this option. Anyway on one side it would say Transfer from: choose year ex. 2015-2016 school year, and dates ex. 8/16-8/20, classes: ex. math. The other side would have Transfer to: choose this year, dates, classes. Then press import. The plans from that week's math lessons from last year will copy over to the week's math lessons for this year that I…
6 votesWe’ve added a new “Copy” button to our main page, which allows you to view and copy lessons from one year to another, including the ability to drag and drop lessons. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know at support@planbook.com. Thanks!

Add search for My List
My "My List" is getting pretty long (I use it for district-provided objectives). It is unwieldy to scroll through the whole list looking for specific objectives. It would be much easier if there was a search field so that you could enter keywords from the objective or the ID and have it filter down so there are fewer visible, making it easier to find the item you're looking for.

Add warning to Copy/Bump/Extend if lessons removed
I found last year that since I had my year entered already if I entered new material say in January my lessons at year's end would roll off and disappear. With no warning. So when I wanted to keep those lessons I had to re enter them all. Very frustrating. I would like it to just bump further even if it goes past my official year end date. The calendar sits there anyway. But when I enter my lessons in begin get of year I actually do move things around. In math I covered the last unit but added other…

have the option to apply changes to a lesson that has been extended.
There are times when I have completed a lesson plan and have clicked the extend button, but then realized I made a typo or forgot to put something in. When I go to edit the original lesson that was extended, I have to go through and make this change on the day to which the original lesson was extended. It would be great to have an option that allows me to copy these changes to those lessons that have been extended from the original one. Something like, "Do you wish to make these changes to extended lessons as well?"
6 votesYou now have the option to LINK multiple lessons together. This means that when you change one lesson, the others will automatically change as well. To create the link, select “Link Lesson” from the Lesson Action menu. Hope that helps, any questions just let us know!

Expand the Unit Planning Template
Please consider expanding the Unit Planning tabs/options to mirror those of the lessons. I would like the various tab options to allow for comprehensive unit planning. If I use the current unit planning template, I do not have room to organize ideas and materials. If I try to use the lesson planning template, which is better suited to hold large quantities of information, my "unit" gets lost on a given date.

Reorder Attachments
It would be great if one could drag to re-order the attachments instead of having to delete a bunch then re-upload if one wants to replace an attachment near the start of the list.

Section to add notes to students
Hi, I need to make some notes on each student such as SEN data etc.. however when I click on a student it only allows me to enter email, details etc... how can I make notes for each student please
6 votesTo allow our teachers more flexibility in the creation and management of Notes and To Do items, we have moved these to their own page in Planbook!
When adding notes, you can also indicate if the note is specific to a student and/or a class in your plans.

Retain screen position when saving lesson in bank
Currently when you adjust a lesson in the bank, when you save the lesson, the screen takes you to the top of the bank instead of staying in the location that lesson that was adjusted is in.

DD/MMM/YY Date format
Allow dates to be displayed with a DD MMM YYYY format. For example, 12 Dec 2020, 1 Jan 2021. Because dates are seen in DD/MM and MM/DD formats in different places, not just in this service, allowing abbreviations for months clears up the confusion.
6 votesAs part of our new User Interface in v12, we now show most dates in a more intuitive "MMM DD" or "DD-MMM" format!
To change your date format, click "User Settings" > "Display Settings" > "Dates & Times".

Open one subject for the week
It would be so much more efficient to be able to type in all of my plans for one subject for the week rather than having to click on every single day separately. I would love for the subjects to open up like a table of sorts and be able to keep typing my plans for the entire week for that subject. There's a lot of time wasted having to continually click on every day every subject.
6 votesThe List View provides an easy way to focus on adding or updating lessons for one subject at a time. We hope this helps, any questions please let us know at support@planbook.com

Add "attachments" as option for Views
Currently, when creating a view profile under sharing options, you have the option to toggle between "All View Items" and enabling/disabling more granular choices, like the lesson, standards, notes, assessments, homework, etc. This has been a great way to make sure the people I am sharing a link to my plans with only see things that pertain to them.
Since I now have to share with someone outside of my immediate team, I started to create a new view profile/link for them and was shocked that I could not find "attachments" included as one of the things I could disable…
