Display classes by time
When I view or print my schedule for the week, without lesson details, I would LOVE to have it display in relationship to TIME, not all bunched together at the top of the page. This would help my colleagues visualize empty periods in my schedule (I'm a librarian)! When one class is 90 minutes and takes up the same amount space as a 30 minute class, or I have a break of 25 minutes, it is hard to read that across a week.

YES PLEASE! I was literally just thinking this. Is there a reason this hasn't been resolved yet? It's been years.

I agree. This also gets scrambled easily if you're choosing to view events. Even when those events are hidden/unchecked, it can throw one days lessons further down that another. I hate it when a specific class doesn't line up across so that I can easily view the plans for the class across the week.

Why hasn't this been resolved?! It's so frustrating constantly scrolling up and down and I get lost. The classes should line up across the week. Fix this please!

I'm a librarian too and I'd also love this.

For those in Elementary or Early Childhood, allow ability to enlarge/shrink classes to reflect the length of time. That way, even if my morning meeting has more written than math on a particular day, the morning meeting doesn't look like it's massive.

Yes, it would be awesome to be able to see my day with non-contacts and different length lessons. To have the day/week with regular setting out would be great. Thanks for considering this important upgrade!

I would like my times for the week to be straight across.

For example. I have some kids who go to band so I put a band class in but at the same time I have a class doing something else. If they are scheduled at the same time I’d like to see them side by side rather than one after the other.

I would like the option to make the boxes for each class to shrink and expand based on the length of the class. For example, the class that is an hour long should be larger than the class that is 20 minutes long. I am very visual and this would help me a lot! Having the option to go back and forth would be helpful when I am printing so it doesn't take up as much space.
Also, the ability to have a class split up during the day would be helpful. I teach elementary and I start a lesson and have to finish it after my kids go to specialist. Right now, I have to put these in as two separate classes. Having them be one class with split times would make "bumping" and "extending" lessons much easier.
Thanks!

Yes, Please add this feature. I think it would be a great benefit and encourage some of the folks I work with who like the traditional paper plans to try planbook. If you could see the same class and time straight across the screen it would be so much easier to look at the week view to see where you are headed. I'm presenting planbook to my colleagues at an in-service soon and would love to see this feature added.

I agree this is my biggest frustration with Planbook. For many of my colleagues that try planbook then quick THIS is the KEY reason. Please add this as quickly as possible

I also think this would be a great tool. One of the things I love about Planbook is that you can link and add attachments and I would love to have my Curriculum Map in the same place with the links, wtc.

I would like to be able to adjust my lesson size to fit time blocks so that when I look across a week the same time is at the same point on the paper for each day.

As an additional thought, it would be lovely to have the option to set up (in prefs) then toggle on/off a small column on the left that outlines the day as a school sees it (e.g. P1, P2, R). If assigned to times in prefs, it could be turned on and printed when you come to print your timetable - again for programming purposes.

I would really appreciate this feature.

Displaying by time (some kind of Timetable view) seems eminently sensible. Being able to print your timetable to include in your program is a common enough requirement where I teach. It seems logical to me that the program I use to keep my lesson outlines should be able to be used for this purpose. Having done all the work to enter the outline of lessons, it is silly that I then have to go recreate it in a spreadsheet, or some other program. And to that end it should be printable with templates on/off option.

Scale-able lesson boxes. Since I have more classes on some days, my lunch times and recess times do not line up, which is just a bit annoying.
It would also help to visually quickly see how much time each lesson would have. Also, an option to hide the top navigation bar.

When an event is added to a day,or you choose "no class day" it shifts all of the other classes further up or down the column. I like to look horizontally across my plans, and see all of my various subject lessons for the week in the same row. Having lessons in different spots for the same class makes it more difficult to view what was taught in a particular subject that week.
