Entering lessons by subject
I would like to be able to plan one subject for the whole week and then have the program add it to the lesson plan instead of finding the subject each day to update the plan. I teach the same subject at a variety of times so I am always searching for the subject.
3 votesThe List View provides a simple way to add or update your lessons for one subject at a time. We hope this helps, any questions please let us know at support@planbook.com

Keep Notes displayed
Hi. I have discovered that Notes simply disappear once their assigned date is past. This is very annoying. Why can't all notes be displayed unless I filter them, rather than the other way around? I want the list of notes to function as prompts, i.e. "sticky notes" that I want to keep at the forefront of my thinking while planning, and I want them to persist until I choose to dismiss them. (Not the same category as To Do tasks which are time framed.) Thanks

To Do and Notes side panel persistent
When I reload the web page for Planbook, I would like the To Do and Notes side pane to remain active, i.e. display permanently without me needing to click the button to show it each time. Could this view setting be saved in Preferences?

Hide search in Notes
When loading Planbook web page, the Notes automatically expands to include the Search function. I don't want this. Please let me click on the magnifying glass if I want to search, which happens rarely. It's just taking up real estate.
1 voteTo allow our teachers more flexibility in the creation and management of Notes and To Do items, we have moved these to their own page in Planbook!
And to allow teachers to quickly view upcoming items, we have added a Reminders panel, to show events, classwork, notes and todos that are due in the next 7 days.
To view the Reminders panel, click the "Reminders" icon in the upper right corner of your Plans page.

Bump/Extend Relica lessons
I have new teachers on my team that REPLICA their classes from me. However, they are in charge of planning lessons for those subjects. I think they should have the option under their Lesson Actions to bump or extend lessons as well.
11 votesYou can now link units and lessons with a colleague or team, and lesson dates are not required to match! This means teachers can now collaborate on the same set of lessons even if they have different schedules. This can also be used for a teacher who has multiple sections of the same subject, as each section can now be on its own schedule. Archive Lesson Banks
With so many classes over the past few years, I have a huge collection of courses that I am not teaching right now. If we could archive the courses that are listed in the bank, it would make it a bit easier to read through the list of banked material.
3 votesWe recommend using the bank name as a simple way to track (and sort) lesson banks. We hope this helps, any questions please let us know at support@planbook.com

Create a journaling page
This could be an open page that just allows free-form journaling. Would be nice if it recorded dates as we add.

Quick hide/show individual lesson
On the display of the lesson beside the drop down menu you could create a button that you could press to hid the lesson and unhide the lesson. This would make navigating daily lessons tons easier and allow for more versatility in using the planbook for all around planning.
44 votesYou can now quickly hide/show the contents of all your lessons, as well each individual lesson!
To hide/show the contents of all your lessons, click the "Hide/Show Details" icon in the top menu.
To hide/show the contents of an individual lesson, click the "Hide/Show" icon at the bottom of each lesson box.

Quick mark lessons as taught
Is there a way to quickly mark lessons as taught rather than having to individually click on each one. I'm a librarian and I see about 30 classes a week. Each class is entered into Planbook. I often have the same grade level students doing the same thing in their class, so I just copy the lesson over to each class within that grade level. I'd love to be able to quickly mark lessons as taught rather than having to click on each class and mark it as taught... a little tedious to do 31 times.

Create a Specific Sub Template
It would be great to have a specific Sub Template that includes the schedule, plans, plus the sub notes, all in one. Additionally, the template could have large gaps between the classes to provide room for substitutes to leave notes on how each class period went.
4 votesOn the Sharing Options page, you can now create a unique “Substitute View”. In this view, you can define exactly what information your substitutes will see, and you can also include “View Notes” to store any common information that will assist the substitute in managing your classroom. Hope that helps, any questions please let us know. Thanks!

Fix section where you copy lessons to a new year
When I'm in the copy lessons section, I like to drag lessons from the left side to the right side. However, when I drag the lesson, the right side then scrolls all the way back to the top, which sucks when you're all the way in second semester and you have to scroll down a bunch before you can drag a new lesson from the left to the right again. This might just be my problem, but I thought I would try.
