Allow units to be assigned to multiple classes
When I design a unit, I can only attach it to one class. I teach elementary specials, and I apply the same unit to multiple hours and days of the week. For example, I have five different first grade classes. They won't stay on the same exact schedule of lessons throughout the year. Eventually, they'll have the same units. Instead of rewriting that unit, I would like to apply to multiple classes.
To assign a single unit to multiple classes, we recommend that you create a Unit Lesson Bank, and then LINK the new unit to your classes. You can link the new unit to as many classes as you’d like, and any changes you make to the lessons in the unit bank will automatically show in all classes with the link!
You can view our Knowledge Base (https://planbook.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1947406-copying-linking-units-in-your-account) or our Video Tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNValfrajJE) to learn more. We hope this helps, any questions do not hesitate to contact us at support@planbook.com. Thanks!

PLEASE DO THIS! I see two classes of grade 9 students every day, and they are doing the same unit. It seems so crazy to create the same units for both classes, especially when you consider I teach 8 courses a year, with a minimum of 3 to 5 units per course, and some of those courses are multiple classes. Without the ability to use the same unit for multiple classes, this is clogging my unit list up with more units than is strictly necessary.

Just adding my voice. I've been a planbook.com user for years, and this is the most pressing issue.

It would also be nice if the unit would copy to the replica classes as well.

Indeed! Using the same unit for multiple classes is essential!

In my case, I teach one subject at the whole school. The system does not allow me to delete any items from my preferences. they just go to the next week. I have to spent time to delete them before I start my lesson plan. I truly do not know what to do.

Sure need this, otherwise it’s back to paper and pencil for me.

Could we make this a top priority for updates? It would make setting up new classes VERY handy for secondary teachers!

Just trying out my trial of planbook, this really is a must! It was under review in June 2016, is there any update on its progress?

I totally agree! I teach at an IB school and all our of units are interdisciplinary. I also think that there should be a feature to apply a unit to each lesson within the start and end date range.

Super agree, this is VERY necessary!

How is the progress on this?
One way to accomplish this could be to have a Unit and Template "Bank" where they do not apply to any course in particular and are just selected when setting the courses up or on the daily lesson plan.

Please add this feature soon. I teach middle school ELA classes that have a reading component in the morning and a writing class in the afternoon. The lessons tie together and should be featured in the same unit. However, since these are different classes in my planbook, it won't let me tie the lessons to the same unit.

Yes! Super important!

I agree completely. I recently made a similar request in another thread. This is a necessity! I want to be able to add cross-curricular lessons to a unit. I might have an ongoing phonics unit, but have some writing activities that occur during writing time.

We use Integrated unit planning at my school. This allows for one unit/theme to link through multiple subjects e.g. a unit on Explorers may be centred in Social Sciences but have lessons during English, Mathematics, Science, The Arts etc. due to integrated unit links. We also use major inquiry assessments that address standards across multiple subjects.
It would be great to be able to assign multiple subjects/classes to a unit to accommodate this. -

When this is completed, the option for selecting more than one class for things like "Templates" and everything else would be REALLY helpful.

YES! THIS IS EXACTLY what I need! I teach specials as well. I have gone back and forth with Planbook.edu because of this option. This would help us stay organized and not have to have our actual classes and "first grade" every day. It gets very confusing.

I think this feature needs to be a priority.

Yes please. I teach several sections of the same class and this would be most helpful.
