Schedule a class multiple times per day
Whilst you can now add extra class lessons to your schedule and this works well for one off changes - I need this to be a regularly scheduled. I do not want to do this every day for every class where I have doubles.
I would like to be able to go into class details and set multiple times for each of my classes as part of the set timetable.
If you have class that needs to be divided into two or more time blocks in a single day, you no longer need to add individual “Extra Lessons” for each occurance. Rather, you can now add extra days and times for a class in your Class schedule. As before, you can select a date range for any class schedule changes, so they do not have to be for a full school year.

Why is there no action on this Planbook? Why is it still under review when so many people want it? Next year I have more classes scheduled twice on one day. I don't want to have to manually add them. I have asked before:

I would like to be able to add a class multiple times a day in the initial setup of the class not manually each week.Kaye MacIver · September 05, 2016 10:12
In the initial setup of the class I would like to be able to add them twice to a day for the same class. I see classes P2&4 on the same day for the same subject. I know I can do this manually but it would be better in the initial setup. -

Could someone please explain how I add a second lesson time for the same class on the same day? i.e. I have Class A for 2 classes on the same day, once at 12:00pm and again at 1:40pm with a lunchbreak in between.
Currently I am unable to create this without separating the class into 2 instances i.e. Class A1 and Class A2 and I don not want to do this.

I know the second lesson can be added manually, or a second class set up, however, being able to add the split lessons into the timetable from initial setup would save a lot of time and allow lessons to be pushed over, etc. Split lessons like this are quite common at my school (HS) and a lot of other schools I know of.

I am new to plan book but as a special education teacher, I sometimes see the same students (eg. "classes") in the same day. I need to be able to bump lessons as well. I was really hoping to use your product, but without this feature, I am afraid I will not be able to. Is this on your radar to implement at all? If so, is there a timetable for this? Thanks so much!!

Twice a week my algebra class meets from 8:30-9:30 and then again from 1:40-2:25. I currently add them as two separate classes on planbook, but that doesn't allow me to use the bump feature.

By the way- I have been emailing and posting here about this all year. I really need this to be added, or I will have to abandon the website because the school I currently teach at requires my lesson plans to be be emailed, but as is I cannot easily print the plans for one class because of this class scheduling issue.

I need this as well.
For example, class 1 meets 1st and 4th period on Monday, 2 and 4th on Tuesday, 1st, 5th and 6th on Wedensday etc. I need to be able to put this in the class schedule, and leave it alone. The workarounds for this are cumbersome (adding extra lessons, or creating multiple classes for 1 class).

Please allow set up for one class to have two lessons different times in one day

I would love to share my timetable with you, so you could see what this looks like if you are not familiar.
You can email me if you would like a copy of a timetable. This is my first year teaching like this, and I am really struggling to set up my planbook here because there isn't a good solution right now.

I am am elementary teacher who currently has set my day up with one AM Math Class and one PM math class daily.
Now, however, I am trying to start using units, which seem to only allow connection with one class. That means I can not put my PM math classes into my current math unit.
-- I would very much like to be able to make those two classes work as one. Thank you. -

I have several classes that happen twice a day and they overlap/carry through. I would like to have these classes be the same because I have my units feature prepped and would like to copy the lessons underneath for both time periods.

Yes, is there anything happening to make this work. I don't think I will move forward with planbook if this is not a feature. I teach my humanities class during period 1 and 3 of the same days often.
I need to be able to list these all under the same class. Will there be resolution to this?
Thanks,

Agree completely. This is the first year I've had to deal with this and it's frustrating me already. I agree with Tim McCarthy that the bump feature needs to be used in this way, and I really like Craig's idea about setting up periods separately. That would solve the problem. PLEASE FIX THIS!

My writing block is interrupted halfway through by special. I would love to be able to just give writing two sections of time rather than have to make two separate classes for writing.

I agree. I want to it to be scheduled so I can use the bump tool. Absolutely necessary. I have the same class twice on Monday, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., but only once on the other days of the week. Each lesson needs to be planned separately. If I bump the 9:00 a.m. lesson it should be moved to the 1:00 p.m. slot. The 1:00 p.m. lesson would them be moved to the 9:00 a.m. slot the next morning lesson and so on.... The "Add Extra Lesson" is okay for something that is not a scheduled class.

I agree! I need to split my math class in two just about every day throughout my 6 day cycle. The "Add Extra Lesson" is a great tool if this is something that happens infrequently, but I'm currently having to do it for 4 out of 6 days a cycle and it's a bit ridiculous. :s
