View plans horizontally
If I were able to view and print my plans horizontally, I could place pages side by side in a binder. This would help me to see my entire day without flipping pages. Keeping my computer logged on to the website to reference my plans throughout the day isn't an option with preset energy saving options put in place by my district.
Horizontal View is now available! To switch to horizontal view, click Go To → Display Settings, and select “Horizontal” Lesson Orientation. Any questions, just let us know!

There is an option to place classes horizontally, but I would like to be able to view them to compare classes on one day. I teach multiple English grade levels, but want to streamline as much as possible. It is hard to compare when looking at plans vertically.

I have never had this issue with planbook, but it hasn't worked all day, and I need it for my plans! It says it can't connect to the server. But I'm not having issues with anything else I'm doing online. Please help!

This would be a great addition! I'd love to be able to print my lesson plans and look at them horizontally.

Make plan book horizontal rather than vertical

Can you add an option where the subject periods are listed at the top and the days of the week are listed vertically?

Any word on this? A few people have mentioned that you can print horizontally, but printing in landscape isn't the same thing...I too want to be able to put my lessons in a binder side by side (like a traditional paper and pencil lesson plan book). Our school is considering going with planbook school-wide next year, but I know there will be so many unhappy people if this isn't changed.

Correction: *"one of 8" not "on of 8"
Sorry! I feel so passionately about this problem I was typing too fast :). -

I agree!!! If there was an option of how many pages (total) to print the whole week on, then I could print my plans for the week and see them in a binder (opened over two pages). I suggest 2 horizontal pages (one with M,T,W the other with Th,F and notes section) is preferable for most teachers, as that is how paper-pencil planbooks are usually set up. THIS WOULD REALLY HELP convert A LOT of my friends to Planbook.com. I am on of 8 Technology Leads in my school district. I would really like to share this with my school and the other schools in my district but I know the print layout problem will result in many teachers not being interested.

This would also help immensely with sub plans, as they don't always seem able to read the vertical lessons, when you're out more than one day, its print daily plans, then hope they look at the date, and i teach 6 grade levels, 2 core subjects, and 2 ESE specials. Unwieldy to say the least.

This appears to be plenty of feedback on horizontal orientation, when can we expect a decision or new option?

I agree. I was able to print horizontally with the previous version of Planbook. Please change this back. It was an important feature as I also print out my plans.

I agree. I asked for this a year ago and received an email that made me think this feature was ready. I am disappointed it is not ready yet.

This thread was started sometime ago. Has anything been done or is it just not being heard?

This would be helpful for those of us with 5 prep a day. Thanks

Instead of lessons running verticle, have them run horizontally.....like lesson books of old.
