Put a button in to extend the standards only.
Many time I want the same standards across the week but I change the lesson. I want to carry the standards but not "extend" the entire lesson.

I agree. Often we are working on the same standards all week and I would like to be able to expand the same standards from Monday until I am finished with the lesson/chapter/exercise.
