Export to Google Calendar
It would be great to export Planbook to Google Calendar so that students have one less web site to go to and have access to their homework as well as their personnal agenda and goals.
You can now export your plans to Google Calendar!
To export your plans, click the "Send To" icon, and select "Google Calendar".

I think that the people who don't want this feature just shouldn't use it, if implemented.
It seems that it carries potentially far-reaching benefits for many of us, and I think it would be development time well spent by the planbook.com team!Google Calendar export (or iCal, or whatever) is a key functionality option for any program like this, given widespread use of Google Cal and smartphones.
I would use this for myself all the time - just to have as a reference point on my personal calendar on my phone/ipad, rather than switching back and forth to planbook. I would not use it for students, since we have Schoology as an LMS.

YES - Assuming, that all due dates etc would automatically move over to Google Calendar - no extra work for the teachers to enter - sounds like it would be a lot easier to keep track of what is due. Would definitely be a lot easier to manage with the all the students school activities by having everything in one place.

I say no. We already have work posted on Planbook and on Portal. Students at some point need to be responsible for actually looking at those sites to see what is due. We don't need one more place for us to put the work--it leaves the burden on us instead of the students.

No! We already post test and quiz dates in Planbook and Portal. I do not need one more piceof technology to keep up with. It will also give the students another excuse for not taking responsibility of their work and assignments. I am not sure how many students use google calendar. If they choose to do so, the act of entering due dates in the calendar is, in itself, calling attention to the fact that something is due.

Only if there's an option for tests, quizzes, projects and homework only, not classwork and resources/notes.

I fear that all of this effort to make things "easier" for students will result in the students not going specifically to the course portal page. The course portal page has other resources and links that are valuable for students and if the students skip over this because they just pull up the calendar (or planbook) then they will miss out....

Students already have multiple access points to their lessons. Adding another is not necessary.

Yes, it would save a lot of time. This would be another great Google piggyback. Almost seems like a hassle for teachers to use this to keep running back to Google for each step.

Yes it would be great.

It would be great to have be able to have multiple options to sync to Google Calendars, like one shared with other staff, and then one I can link to my Google classroom, or student calendars that has the attached assignments etc...

This would be valuable if teachers could chose what to make available in Google Calendar. I would not like detailed plans in my Calendar. However, I would like to see daily assignments and assessments appear in calendar. Additionally, giving students the option to have these items appear in their Google Calendar with a link to the daily lesson would be beneficial.

This functionality would lead my school to buy a license for every single teacher! Please!!

I would love to see my schedule, not my plans in my google calendar! Esp on phone! For example, see my classes and the times they meet when I am using google calendar to set up appointments/meetings.

I agree with others that it would be great to choose which portions of Planbook are exported to Google Calendar. So helpful!

I would like to sync between google and Planbook so changes made in one calendar sync to the other!

At the least it'd be nice that if a Google Calendar has been imported into the Planbook, then students would be able to view it within Planbook. I imported a Memory calendar from Google. It shows up in my view, but the students can't view it in Student View. That would be very helpful to condense their sites to visit down to one.

I will not be able to use planbook if this feature is not available....I need notifications, etc. Pretty useless if it cannot be exported into google calendar.
