Keep class cells the same size
I think that in the week view things could look neater if you had an option for (keep boxes all the same size). To see content you could use individual sliders on the sides of a each box.
We have added a new feature to equal size lessons, and you can now specify a specific height for each lesson (such as 100 pixels), or select to have your equal lesson height adjust to fit the largest lesson in the row. To set your lesson display size, click Go To → Display.

I noticed that the white part of each lesson is not the same size, even when equal size lessons is selected. I feel like it wasn't like this before. Now they look less equal :( Is there a way to adjust this?

I was excited to hear that class boxes could be made the same size - however, this poses a huge problem when I want to print my lesson plans. I need to the boxes to be sized the same - but the same as the longest lesson so that when I print, I can view all info for every class. This would truly look neater, plus it uses the same amount of paper either way when printing, so why not see the info in the box!

Could you add an autofit feature that keeps all of the cells in a row the same size as the largest cell? I'm thinking of the AutoFit to Contents feature when you create a table in Word -- every cell in the row ends up the same size, but the first row might not be the same size as the next. This would take care of keeping lunch and planning boxes small, and keep everything neat and easy to read. Thank you!

I agree that having the boxes the same size so they line up across the week is fantastic. However, it would be better if you could have each class have its own size and keep that lined up for the week. For example, I need to indicate my prep and lunch, but I do not need it to be the same size as my actual class boxes. That only makes the pages so much longer. That leads to another feature... not having the ability to apply page breaks where they are logical instead of in the middle of a lesson box which is very annoying.
Also, even though it looks aligned after setting the display, it DOES NOT PRINT that way. It still prints with the boxes in different sizes. I feel like I spend too much time fiddling with it than I do actually making the lessons.

They have added this feature but it does not work!! I click on display and change things but it says that the lesson box height needs to be numeric.. there is NO place to change the lesson plan box height!

"I absolutely agree! I do not have access to a color printer. And, not being able to have the classes lined up during the week makes my lessons VERY DIFFICULT to read! This is about the only thing that I don't like about this site. I am afraid that my administrator, who will be checking my lessons next week, is not going to be happy with it's current state. I have tried to "trick" my lessons into having each cell be the same size, but my lessons still don't look right when I print it to a PDF. A page break option would also be helpful because I don't like partial lessons being carried on to the next page.
Thanks for listening!"
Exactly!!! Cells need to be the same size and a page break option would be FABULOUS!!!!! It is important to me that all content be available ata glance on a printed page. Our school previously used the eChalk lesson planner, and they allowed you to print either the full content or abbreviated content. That would be great as well!

This would be very helpful especially when trying to print and view a hard copy in landscape which would then show a left to right progression of each subject.
Much neater, pleasing and easier to read. -

I REALLY like this idea, but I also think that the class length should just automatically adjust to allow all to be seen, and they would be the same size as the longest one for the week.

Totally agree!! I just saw this post after posting about the same exact issue. I think this planner (Planbook) is by far the best so far in terms of functionality, but one of the worst in terms of visual appeal, tidiness, and professional looks. Take a quick look at planboard.com for a really clean, professional look. Although it is not nearly as developed in terms of features.

I'm not sure about the slide feature to scroll down within the box, but it each box could automatically adjust to your longest one for the week, that would be great. Much easier to see your one subjects weekly plans at a glance as opposed to searching through to see when it appears in the next day!

YES! It would make it SO much easier to read and see what I have planned for that week!

I really agree with this. It is one of the only things I don't like about this program. Please add this feature!

I absolutely agree with this, I am really struggling with the lack on neatness and alignment in my plan and I am thinking of searching for another type of plan that can do this.

This would be so helpful. That way, all items that occur at the same time appear in the same row. Otherwise, it is difficult to see a subject across a week.

I would love to have a fixed size view (with a scrollbar?) for each lesson - some lessons just have more text to them, and it's easier to find the lesson/meeting time I need when I don't have to search through varying sizes of lessons.
Also - for student view with variable spacing - I can anticipate some of my students who are less focused/organized looking at the page, not clearly understanding where their lesson is, and giving up on doing the attached assignment! Fixed spacing would really help those kids! -

Yes, I proposed using this software at our school and several teachers said that because it did not look "neat" they were not interested in using it. If there was an option to make it look more like a traditional plan book, you might have more users.
