Folders for attachments
It would be nice to organize your files into folder so you do not have to scroll so far looking for items
You can now group your resource files into folders!
To create folders, go to your "Resources" page, click the "Add" icon, and select "Add Folder".
To move your files into folders, click the "Action" icon, and select "Manage".

Yes. I currently don't use the attachments, because it's cumbersome. I use links to my Drive instead.

I feel uncomfortable with all my files not organised into sub folders. Yuk! The amount of storage space is a real asset with PlanBook and it seems wrong to have all the files in flat storage. Sometimes I think "I'm sure I had a worksheet for xyz" but I would not be able to find it easily in the current scheme.

I saw a similar suggestion but wanted to give a variation. For the 20-21 school year uploaded attachments should go in a folder for this year automatically. Each school year should have their own autogenerated and sync folders that way files are organized and the instructor can choose whether they want to reuse or upload a new file. This in addition to being able to create folders and upload/delete in bulk would be a major QOL improvement.

It would be super convenient if when I uploaded an attachment for chemistry is saved to a chemistry file folder. That way I could more easily find the attachments for that class from year to year.

Agreed. I'm a new user but this would be so helpful in the future!

I would LOVE the ability to create a resource folder that students can access. It would be so much easier for students to access a folder for the unit and find all of their materials. Plus, I have a hard time finding my documents in the LONG list once I upload them.

That way I can upload their completed assignment (that they do in a separate document) with my comments attached and they can see it in relation to their grade.

A folder for uploaded files and strategies would be helpful as well. I have 504 strategies, ELL strategies, ESE accommodations, etc that I would love to keep separate.

It would be very helpful for a teacher to be able to create file folders! Then, during the upload process one could select what folder to drop the uploaded file.

I have switched grade levels for 5 years within the same school. It would be nice to have a folder to keep all the uploaded files. If I go back to that grade level the files will still be there but not in my uploaded files list that I have to go though from last year.

I agree. I am hesitant to attach files because searching for them is still so cumbersome.

the reason I think my idea will help is because then anything you add to your planbook will not be allover the place when you actually need it.

This would really be helpful! I end up just going back to my computer and uploading the file there because the long list drives me nuts!

Ability to keep files in folders and sub-folders rather than one very very long list.

Let users create their own folder system for organizing their uploaded files. For users with a lot of files, new versions and old versions get very confusing. It would greatly assist organization if the files were shown as something other than one long list.

You should be able to delete the files you've uploaded to planbook "My Files" without deleting the files that you've attached to your plans. "My Files" gets very cluttered after uploading files, but if I try to delete them, it will remove them from my past plans, which I don't want.
