Long range plans
Long range plans overview for the year for each subject area in a week/month view aside from the actual lesson plans -- to view the general overall plans for the year at a glance -- like a pacing guide for all subject areas...

I used to create a template for each subject area, especially those that repeated, so I didn't have to type them all every week. I am having trouble adding the template to my plans.

Sometimes I have entered numerous lessons before I create a unit to link them to. This ends up being very time consuming because I have to open each lesson and link the unit. Maybe the Lesson Actions drop down menu could have an option to link a unit. That would be convenient and save time.
or
maybe there could be some type of shortcut for linking multiple lessons to a unit all at once.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO SEE MY PLANS FOR THE YEAR!

This would be great! I agree with Madame Bratz. I would want it to be separate from my daily plans though in case I am ahead of or behind schedule. Maybe there could be an option for whether to connect them or not... Or maybe it could be added to the lesson in the plans view in a new tab so that you can see if you're on track, but when you make edits to your individual lesson plan, it doesn't effect your overall goal plan.

This!!!!! This is a necessity to make the unit planner effective.

Personalized Unit Template - a unit template that included objectives for lessons in the unit, mapped out in the sequence they should be taught. Perhaps even connecting unit topics in a course template that promotes long-range planning for teachers.

Instead of having a start and end date for units, it would be nice to have a "duration" choice of either number of lessons, days or weeks.

I agree, this would be a really nice feature. I like to map out my year and it would be very helpful to see it on a yearly calendar view which standards I am working on.

We create year long maps. I would love to place units for the entire year and have an option to print the year long plan that included unit titles. I would need to be able to see how many weeks each unit is and have color coding for each class.

I also want long range planning tools. Maybe a monthly calendar view for planning units.

Let me put quick notes or events on a monthly view for long range planning. My grade level team plans math chapters at a time. While our daily lessons may not be the same, we want to end on the same day. I'd like to be able to put an event on the monthly view and be able to see it on that quick view calendar.

This overview would provide a space to type in ideas or goals for the term, semester or month. I know you have s month view, but I would like a space to add more text (similar to the notes tab). I often need to think out the big picture for planning and the refer to it. It could also be a timeline type of format.

I tend to sketch out certain ideas/milestones way in advance and fill in more detail as the day/week gets closer. These are kind of like "notes to self" -- i.e., let's say on a Monday I know I want the kids to be through the vocabulary by Friday. In a pen-and-paper panbook I would pencil this in on Friday. I would love to have a separate section (that I can see in my lesson view) for this. Currently I have set up a tab called "ideas/milestones" for this but it is cumbersome. It would be nice to have a separate function for it, that is somehow tied to the calendar. I don't feel I am explaining this very well... :-/

It would be great if I could create a year long planner and enter holidays. school breaks, testing, convocations, field trips etc.
I can do this on the Everyday Math online lesson planner and it is great. It helps to plan long term projects etc.
