Cycle Schedules
Cycle schedules allow you to create unique schedule rotations within your lesson plans. If using a cycle schedule, the cycle should be added to the school year, before adding classes to avoid schedule deletions.
1. Select School Year from the Planbook Bar.
2. To edit an existing school year, hover over the school year and click edit. Note: If you need to create a new school year, click the + button in the upper-right corner of the screen and follow these directions.
3. Select the appropriate cycle schedule under Classes are Scheduled.
- On a Weekly Basis: Classes will be displayed on the school day selected below.
- On a Two Week Basis: Classes can be displayed according to an A week and a B week.
- On a Cycle of ___ Days: Classes will be displayed on a rotational cycle as specified under each Class.
- Name the reset.
- Enter the date of the reset.
- Specify which cycle day should occur on the entered date.
5. Click the check mark in the upper right corner to save changes.
How to Reset a Cycle Schedule
If using a cycle, you can enter your cycle reset days. A cycle reset will restart the cycle to a specified cycle day.
For example, if I am using a 2-day cycle and the semester ends on an A day but know that when I come back from winter break, we will start back on an A day, I can enter a cycle reset for the first day back and select A day.
To enter cycle resets:
1. Select School Year from the Planbook Bar.
2. Hover over the school year that needs a cycle reset and click edit.
3. Click the + button in the Cycle Resets tray to expand.
4. Enter reset details:
5. Click the check mark in the upper right corner to save changes.

Adding a No Cycle Day
If you are using a cycle schedule rotating days, you can add a No Cycle Day.
1. From the Planbook Bar, select Events.
2. Click the + button in the upper right corner.
3. Enter event details:
4. Select No Cycle Day.
5. Click the check mark in the upper right corner to save changes.
When you return to your plans, you will not see that the event has been entered and the cycle has skipped the identified day.
If you are using a cycle schedule rotating days, you can add a No Cycle Day.
1. From the Planbook Bar, select Events.
2. Click the + button in the upper right corner.
3. Enter event details:
- Title
- Start and end dates.
4. Select No Cycle Day.
5. Click the check mark in the upper right corner to save changes.
When you return to your plans, you will not see that the event has been entered and the cycle has skipped the identified day.
